RE: Legalizing MM - atomheartmother - 06-13-2015 Yeah, I'm in the bible belt and we will most definetly be late adopters of MM. I got a friend in jail over 3 oz. Trying to say he as distributing it. Pure B.S. RE: Legalizing MM - IceWizard - 06-14-2015 (06-12-2015, 10:56 PM)Dr Orpheus Wrote: You guys, having a medical MJ card is AMAZING!!!! You lucky devil!! That is a dream come true .. I have ranted about these laws for several decades and to be so close to having the stigma and punishment removed from the equasion is the most fantastic move the states have done in quite some time ... I saw a broadcast the other day about Virginia's struggle and some woman in the house/senate was saying,"We don't know the long term effects of this drug will have on us or our children" The mother of a teenage girl (having up to 300 seizures a week) said,"Maybe not, but I do know the long term effects of this many seizures .... Death!!" It just burns me up to hear such stupity coming from the mouths of our "elected" officals ... I guess since it's not their kid ... So what ... I even heard that the movement has 2 more advocates for it's legalization ... Is it the secretary of agriculture and former pres Bill Clinton .... Maybe he will "inhale" this time ... Which reminds me ... I need to go and water the girls .... RE: Legalizing MM - atomheartmother - 06-14-2015 I am debating a move out west, not for this reason but it is an incentive for sure. RE: Legalizing MM - IceWizard - 06-20-2015 If they would legalize MM then look at all the space emptied out so that the true violent offenders could be housed and locked away longer to keep our streets safer... Call me old fashioned, but I wolud much rather see someone with a bale of weed, than find someone burning my house down or shooting up the neighborhood .... Like it's been pointed out before alchol leads to so many other problems, not just their own, but for society in general ... I've been a smoker for (well let's just say a good while) and have never been addicted, suffered any sort of withdrawals, mugged anyone for a joint, robbed anything or anybody for a hit ... And the list goes on ... People rake on my last nerve talking down weed ... Our grand gov knows it's hard to set up a still and create Jack Danials or (my farorite) Crown Royal, but virtually anybody can throw a few seeds in a hole and with a little TLC, can have wonderful results ... Regulation becomes harder, how are they gonna "get thier cut" of the monies .... Same with tobacco ... Hard to mfg a Marlboro or Newport ... These two products alone make the gov a hefty sum in taxes ... And cause more deaths and property damage than weed ever thought of ... When I'm "buzzzed" and driving, I have never not been paying attention to what's happenig around me.... But let me knock back a few Crowns and my ability to navigate the roads becomes a greater challenge ... And don't let me light a cig while I'm drinkin and driving!! ... I been known to be involved with some extremely "wild" rides ... But never on weed ... That reminds me ... Time to water my girls .. L8r RE: Legalizing MM - andybones - 06-30-2015 I do believe MJ should be legal in states, if one is allowed to drink alcohol which is man made, who is to say we can't smoke something from mother nature? I used to smoke MJ like cigs, and it did help with certain things, but in the end actually made me more paranoid, and now that I have stopped, I smoke once in a blue moon and it's horrible I get panicky and very paranoid. I never understood why people hated it so much, but I certainly do now, but to deny it from people IMO isn't right. It has many beneifits, one that always brings a tear to my eye is a show I saw about someone extracting MJ properties that has CBDs not any THC and helps a young child with her seizures. After witnessing my brother have a seizure and not knowing what it was, I feel for the parents of young children who suffer from this and to all who suffer from seizures. God Bless them! RE: Legalizing MM - Charon - 07-01-2015 thank u andy. MMJ, especially the CBD oil, helps all sorts of issues such as seizures, tremors, slurred speech. it is an asset to those of us with autoimmunes. too bad the federal gvt does not allow it to be used in most states for this purpose. RE: Legalizing MM - andybones - 07-01-2015 It just breaks my heart. I don't have children of my own, but I can still feel their pain. For a parent to have to go and break the "law" for your child to have a better day just makes me cringe. Why is this other medicine that isn't helping these poor children legal, but something from Mother Nature that will make the quality of their life so much better not legalized? Very sad, and twisted world we live in. MJ can have many great help for many people not just children. Just hurts my soul. RE: Legalizing MM - airraid101 - 09-18-2015 it all comes down to how can the government get $ off it and still look like the good guys..... its a $$$$ thing RE: Legalizing MM - airraid101 - 09-18-2015 $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is there only interest |
