![]() John 15 : 13-21 KJV 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. Today's Prayer... Lord our God, We gather together in Your presence and ask You to let Your light shine in our hearts to strengthen us in times of need and trouble. May we come to know that through all the storms and distress of the world, You are mighty in protecting and sheltering those who trust in You. May we realize the power of Your kingdom. Even if all the kingdoms of the world rise in rebellion, You are with us. You are with those who have set their hope on Your kingdom and who go on hoping that even in evil days something must happen through Your great and holy rule." In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 10-20-2023 In Jesus precious name, Amen and Amen. ![]() Hebrews 5 : 5-14 KJV 5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Today's Prayer... Lord our God, Grant that our spirit may recognize Your Spirit and Your love, so that our lives cannot be swallowed up by passing concerns but are lifted to something higher. Help us hold fast to all the blessings You have allowed us to experience, the blessings You will certainly continue to give, even though new battles and new troubles are all around us. Send a great light to shine among the many people whose task is to lead the way so that Your kingdom may come. Send light so that Your name may be honored through our human deeds and You may be known as life for all." In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 10-25-2023 Amen and Amen in Jesus precious name. ![]() Psalm 9 : 1-11 KJV 1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. 3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. 4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. 5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. 6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. 7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. 8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. 11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. Today's Prayer... Lord our God, We thank You for Your voice even when it is stern and we must go through hardship and suffering. Your voice speaks to us, and in Your voice we can be glad and victorious in our life on earth. Come into our lives. May each of us realize that all we have gone through has been for the good. Be God and Lord over the nations. Be a refuge for all people. Grant that the sin and distress of this terrible time may soon pass and that we may hear Your words, "Be comforted. I will come soon. All these terrors must pass by. My will is being done. My name must be honored. My kingdom and My rule are coming. So take heart and at all times look to Your God and Father in heaven."" In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - NovemberRain - 10-27-2023 Lord Jesus, be with all of those who have been, and still are, being attacked and persecuted, who have just been trying to live their lives peacefully, enjoying their families and life, with no intentions of harming others. We know that YOU are ALWAYS in complete control, even when it appears as if you are ignoring our pleas. Everything that You do is good. Everything that You allow, You work it into something good. For You cannot sin. You can only do what is righteous. And when mankind causes terrible suffering to others, You are STILL in control, because You allow it for reasons known only to You. Reasons that are good. So, all we can do is pray and have faith in what your word says, and that is: “GOD IS GOOD.” And even when we just don’t know what to pray, You do. Romans 8:26–28 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Lord, it’s so very difficult, and without Your Spirit it is impossible, to believe this during times like these. Please give us the strength and faith in You so that we do not lose heart. Grant us your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Lord, please help the persecuted, the anguished, the hurting, the terrified, the angry, the traumatized and the weary. We know that your timing is different from ours, but please remember that we are mere humans. We are not like You! Please remember that we are frail! Please come soon. Even knowing your reasons for waiting, knowing that 2nd Peter 5:9 says: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” Please give us Your strength to endure! Even so, we long for your return and pray that You return for us soon! In Jesus’ Precious Name, Amen. Philippians 4:6-7 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Psalm 100:1-5 1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 103:1-22 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. 77 He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. 8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. 9 He will not always chide: neither will He keep His anger forever. 10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. 14 For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; 18 To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them. 19 The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. 20 Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. 21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the Lord, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul! RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 10-27-2023 In Jesus name, Amen and Amen. ![]() John 13 : 25-38 KJV 25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? 26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. 28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him. 29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. 30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night. 31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards. 37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. 38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice. Today's Prayer... Dear Father in heaven, We want to praise You together and to thank You with all our hearts for Your goodness and Your deliverance from our many needs. Accept our thanks, and help us go on our way with ever joyful hearts. Make us ready for whatever You have prepared for us, Your children. Bless us in our individual lives and bless us in our community. Let Your Spirit shed its rays into all places to comfort people's hearts and to restore and strengthen their faith. May Your name be praised forevermore.""
