Kannalife: Using CBD to treat concussions - IceWizard - 08-17-2015

As the debate whether to lessen NFL penalties
for marijuana continues, the development of
medicinal cannabis is gaining traction.

One of the most high profile voices in this group is Kannalife – a company that has a license agreement with the National Institute of Health (NIH) to develop a CBD based drug that may help NFL players with the brain disease CTE.

Kannalife is lead by CEO Dean Petkanas as well as spokesman Marvin Washington, a former NFL defensive end.

Marvin Washington believes that after more
proof of concept, “we will definitely approach
the NFL about this… The medical community
believes NFL needs to lead the science because when they get behind something they can move the needle.”

Cool link! Thank you for sharing this. I need all the news I can get on this topic. I am in the process of writing a proposal to my senator. I have had enough. This state only allows the use of CBD products. Not medical MJ. Why? They want to do an independent study that last 4 years. They're in their 2nd year.

Meanwhile, the pain management or anything alike is absolutely ridiculous. The new laws, have it so that doctors have to implement all kinds of new provisions on patients. So only the ones who can afford it, can be in the program. Other than that you are basically either dead to them or you are a sight for sore eyes.

It really chaps my hide. All this crap about pain killers and people dying, while there is a cure just in front of the nose.

MJ has more benefits than any other medication out there. No debate on that!
