Phenobarbital sources besides ttm? My little puppy has been having seizures and so far it's the only thing that prevents them.
I'm not sure about where to get online but your vet should be happy to prescribe.  One of ours was on it daily for about 8 years.  It's magic for canine epilepsy.  Good luck.
Well the problem is that we know my pup has seizures but they want to run tests, with costs upwards of 2-3k, before they are willing to prescribe. If I wanted I could drive to Alabama and use a buddies vet that would do it but I'd prefer not to have to do that.
Oh, crap. Sorry you're going through all of that. My vet is great, prescribed after our girl's first seizure. Refilled it for years
after periodic check-up (45.00) .
We lost her to leukemia last year, I still have about 90 of her pills. Seems like one of the sy vendors used to carry it but I'm a little out of touch with that. I'll keep my eye out for you. Hugs to your pup.
my german shepherd had epilepsy. and i get seizures. so, i use ttm2u. lethyl it is called.

i shall keep my eyes open for u.

but, i logged what brought on my doggies seizures. for him, he needed snacks or food several times a day. i had to keep the AC on in my bedroom for him, 24/7. It helped us both not have seizures.

In heat, outside, I purchased all those scarfs people put in freezer to stay cool in the heat.

So, food every few hours helped. And avoiding heat. For my doggy.

Someone else must carry it. We shall all keep our eyes open for u and puppy.

Good luck.
I don't think adc has that one but they do carry a number of anti seizure meds. You might want to look over their offerings and see if one of them will substitute. They are cheap as can be.
it works for me. i only use on limited basis. i get a slight warning. or, if i know American Idol will be on and all the flashing lights.

but, for me, it works.
Yeah I was going to use ttm but wanted to hear the consensus first.

Charon, that's great it works for both of you and interesting about the food. Unfortunately my little ones trigger is higher pitch notes in a certain range. I have a pit bull hound mix that lives at my place and every time he howls it sets her off. Due to this even certain songs that's are similar in sound will set her off. She had a big one today while we were on the way to get food. My next ttm order I'll be getting some as it just tears me up to see her that way. What size dosage, compared to what ttm offers, does your dog need?
He was a very large German Shepherd. We took the same dosage. He died many years later. Allegedly of lung cancer. The vet told me he had but weeks at age 7. I patted the Vet and said, Doctor, don't u remember my last miracle meow as u called him? The dog lived to be 13 without cancer treatment.

I react to high pitches. Same dosage ttm has, I would give to my dog. I only take one when I feel a seizure coming on. I get a twinge in back of one leg. But, when partner puts on that Damned American Idol show, I must take one.

Certain pitches just do something in my head now. But, particularly German Shepherds are prone to die from epilepsy. So, he got meds twice a day. With food.

They are tiny pills, one dosage ttm has. Easy to cut in half.

It seems he would need a half to go to store with u.

And, instantly, if ur other dog howls, either put the tab into ur doggies throat. If u know how. Or put his pill inside baby food. meat. lamb is safest. cost about one dollar but i have never seen a dog or cat refuse it.

I had a massive one two days ago? yesterday? I cannot recall. I also take a valium when I feel its gonna be bad.

Good luck. Let us know. Even valium alone helps me prevent seizures. I was not above sharing with my dog. No way was I gonna lose him early.
Yeah Valium is definitely beneficial but for me tends to only work once she's in it. I mean sure it would stop one from happening but I feel like that's because she'd just be out of it. Thanks for all the suggestions Charon. I really appreciate it as this is my little ball of joy. I don't know what I would do if I had to watch her suffer any more.

Definitely giving ttm a try as it's getting to painful for me to see her like this, whenever it happens.
