Just a silly little question I have... I was wondering about websites vs email vendors.

Since the websites don't work and you are then asked to proceed using email, does that mean that they could probably be an email source?

Don't get me wrong - I like seeing the little pictures, but the sites almost never work.
That is not necessarily true. I use a web site Vendor.

Often, a vendor will shut down his web site, to avoid new clients cuz he is too busy.

His regulars will then use email to contact him.

As you read here, you will understand better. Sincerely.

Thank you Smile
ur welcome.
I use at least 5 website iop's and many other email. It's fairly common of both but Charon is right they do shut down sometimes
I use email sources, Websites, and free websites(blogspot type sites) Doesn't matter to me, as long as the product is quality and the price is right.
Where I would be concerned is when a vendor has a web page (not a site) with nothing much on it and do business by e-mail. I have seen this with a vendor who wanted to be listed as a website vendor on forums but really wasn't.
oh, ghost of jack. i am thinking of one such vendor. we put him in email area. despite his "webpage."

But, sometimes vendors do that because we all have much stricter rules on email vendors.

Many forums request the Vendor send samples to five or ten senior members to prove he has product. Can deliver product.

So, a few vendors wanted to be listed as IOPs. To avoid mailing out Samples. When, in fact, they are email vendors.
Ah Charon once again you have educated me on the above subject.
I always find that looking through the website just one i know of that is used by many on this forum.and i often wonder is the little pictures actually what people buy .ie or are they generic types as to what's advertsed .
Getting back to the question i too did wonder .
Thank you for clearing that up.

I agree Lb.  If the price and quality are up to my standards then it makes no difference to me.
