I love the butterfly on the blue pebbles. And that owl is gorgeous. I used to have a snow owl outside my bedroom window, and it was something that will always stay with me. Very nice
Thank you Rev. Up until last year my home, well my Dad's home, backed up to deep woods. I saw many deer, foxes and we had a family of hoot owls living back there as well. I saw the owls several times. One night when I was standing on my front porch one of the owls swooped across my front yard at about eye level. That was a big bird.
They mowed down the woods and are developing a new subdivision now and all the critters, including the owls are gone. Sunday I saw a bald eagle. It was soaring around in circles over my neighborhood for a couple of hours. Sometimes it would make huge circles and almost disappear, then it come back and make tight circles, sometimes only tree-top high. I got many good looks and it was definitely a bald eagle. That was the first I've ever seen that wasn't in a zoo, and I live in Georgia. I didn't know there where any bald eagles here, but I reckon they can pretty much go wherever they choose. Now that was a BIG bird.
The colors pic linville posted looks like a bag of candy that melted on my dashboard
Funny, Kenzyme, Linville's reminded me a little of melted crayons.
Zander, I would think seeing a bald eagle is good luck. I believe they are endangered. That must've been a treat.
Does anyone recognize this?

Bird pics from the road.
Testing, testing . . .
I think I have this working now. The last post was of some scissortailed flycatchers I took in Bowie, Texas. I'm not a real birder, but I keep some bird id books and use them when I run across new birds on the road. The scissortail is the most beautiful bird I've seen. I'll attach a single in this post.
like the green landscapes! ran outta file storage to post my pics.(
haha freed some space, this was during the morning last year,
