Yeah, modern wars seem to be often fueled by substance abuse.  Lots of vets from WWII came back and reached for the bottle.  Hitler's "blitzkrieg" method--and Hitler--were infused with amphets.  In the good old days it was enough to just kill the enemy before he killed you.  There was reason in that, but modern wars are not so simple, and the weaponry and blood are that much more horrific.  In the simpletonian era of the 60s, they used to say, "Suppose they gave a war, and nobody came."  If you look over the stats on Viet Nam, so many were killed in the first two weeks of their arrival, before they got the hang of it.  Bernie Sanders has a good point when he says the way to change is through the masses, through rejection of authority.  It's a tough job, but the young are always called on to do it.  And it's no wonder they reach for relief through hard drugs.

I had a friend. One of the heads of NY veterans Dept. Heavy PTSD.

He said they use the young boys to kill, as they don't have the conscience yet. When they get home or age a tad bit, they can see the faces of all they killed. That is why he still abuses. And, he sleeps with 29 rifles around him.

Earned 3 purple hearts.

I was old enough for Viet Nam. I would have gone to Canada, because, according to my moral beliefs, I cannot kill another. It is not in me.

I thought we took care of all our vets. I know my father got a pension for being a disabled warrior in WW2.

But, now I get told that the reason Wounded Warriors ask for money, is that the Vet administration no longer helps them.

I think I studied warfare and weaponry on History Channel2. Seems it is no longer available in USA.

I do admit that after 9/11, I was ready for war. Vietnam had so many issues. The soldiers could only shoot in certain areas. Certain days. The ability to keep alive was severely hampered. (is that a word?)

Half wars don't work.

But, I do appreciate that the USA is safe. Due to the efforts of our warriors.

At least in the days of the revolution, one's commander rode into battle with the men. I may be totally screwing up what I am trying to say, spanky.

Now some VAs are paying for MMJ in legal states and its helping...other wise we will blow our brains out when we come home or blow up in anger. MMJ is necessary for so many things I have Vet friend hooked on methadone and pain killers they hate it! They have lost their families and kids cant be around people.

and believe me when your over there you see your fighting for cooperation's KBR for one, the world banking system is another but not freedom do not believe everything in the news it creates fear and changes the laws here if you notice we are losing more human rights and more electronic security with no privacy! So sure we are free in an invisible cage with less and less defense in the court system because of "Terrorism" allowing "Operation Stellar Winds" taking all citizens personal info in the NSA data bank. Now profiling is done on ALL citizens by LEOs which was not always the case. First ask yourself what is ones definition of freedom maybe the cage is no longer visible to perception. The elite are very intelligent.....News and radio reports are to program the main public...
