I know this is a bit off topic but it may help. In terms of tolerance, it builds much faster for ambien than the traditional benzos. Having said that, I have used ambien to wean off benzos successfully at certain points. Instead of talking lots of benzos to pass out, try ambien. It will help. There were times I was so down i would take ambien to sleep during the day but when i was taking ambien i refrained from benos and it helped tremedously fight off the withdrawals.
