I don't think I'd ever trust Western Union. I have noticed more and more taking Bitcoin.

I use WU at my local grocery store (smallish suburban community). All they asked me was - :This isn't money being sent from a telemarketer's call is it?" When I said no, they were very nice and said they were just trying to be protective. That was it, $ sent no issues.

I always have best luck with the yellow phone at chain pharmacies. I make up a new name and number every time (banned under my own Id) because it's multiple transactions that get you flagged and held up. If I ever did have a problem I'd be out the money, but cost of operating.

My best luck is kiosks at pharmacies or chain stores. Do the transaction on the Kiosk, it prints a receipt, take it to the cashier to pay and get tracking #. The cashiers don't care about anything and never ask any questions.

The one time I used them I was a newbie and a total dumbass. I signed up online. Yes... online. They CALLED! They asked me who I was sending to in MX. I said my sister in law needed help paying her bills... OMG. I was sweating hard.

Ghostofjack (and others) I use WU at Grocery stores, have had good luck so far. It is the grocery store employees who process the thing so I don't think they care as much. I think the key is not to go to an official WU retail location where it will be staffed with WU employees.

My grocery store started requiring id even to send money- I say your best bet is the yellow phone (not a computer kiosk because they will also ask for your state ID number depending on receiver country). The manager somehow overcame it for me but so far the phone is the only method where I never had a problem.
