Just started watching the 2nd season of Mr Robot,really enjoyed the first season,thought it would all end happily,but No.
Looks like they are going to have to start thinking of a new way to bring down E corp.
Interesting first intro to season 2,interviewing actors and writers,they hacked into the dating website Ashley Madison in season 1,then a few months later it happened in real life,weird.
someone said the code that can be seen on screen for just a few seconds is real,some folk got screen shots of it,can't remember what they did with it though.
Wish that we had been taught about code at school,we had 1 computer in 1980 ish,you had to join the computer club to use it,that meant staying on after school finished,i couldn't wait to get out of the damn place,not a nice place my old school,brutal.
I tried to get into Mr. Robot but I couldn't make it past the first few episodes. I found it to be socialist propaganda against free market capitalism. I find it funny because it is as if Big Hollywood is biting the hand that feeds it. I really tried to like it but just couldn't.
Awesome, totally forgot season 2 has started!
I've enjoyed it. Gives me a look into the world of hackers and big banks.

I don't think it is as good as season 1,but maybe it'll get better,seems to be a bit too much about whats going on in Mr Robots sons head.
Thought the first season was a bit similar to fightclub,even had that pixies tune in it.
Series 1 was unusually technically accurate, especially the early episodes. I'm used to things like 24 where you get told something is totally uncrackable, then Jack Bauer shouts "Dammit Chloe, I need that data!", and 20 mins later they've decrypted the whole thing ;-)
TommyGun, I know what you mean about computers at school. Luckily at my school you could get on the computer at lunchtime and avoid the cold/rain in the playground. We got to mess around a bit, but the teachers knew less than us. No coding, just messed around in DOS.
Nostormos, I took Mr Robot as anti-capitalist, but more anarchic than socialist. E Corp had a rather Enron looking logo.
Did anyone watch Halt and Catch Fire on AMC? That was good on the early days of IBM compatible PCs, and the bulletin boards that existed before we had web access. I think this and Mr Robot both deal with the problem of how you dramatise people typing at keyboards.
I never put that together until the last episode and especially freaked that Darlene was his sister. Very clever, Harley.

Anyway I haven't started Season 2. I will wait for a few episodes so I can watch at once to get a feel. I've heard a lot of people are disappointed. Season 1 would be hard to beat and keep relevant.
The Evil Corp logo is more or less the same as the Enron symbol,you all know what those guys did?Free markets eh?
Good film about States that are involved with hacking or cyber war is Zero Days ,pretty disturbing what governments are doing in secret.

I want to see Zero Days, it sounds interesting.
Watched episode 5 of series 2,doesn't really take off until ep.5 for me.
Zero Days is interesting and quite scarey,everything is nearly dependent on a computer system of some kind these days,doesn't take much to cause it to crash,thats when we could all face some very worrying times.
Think we should go back to paper and pens for some things,less chance of a total mess happening which it may well do.
