I hate the feeling when I'm in adderal. I don't understand why people do it recreationially.
This is interesting, seams like I have noticed that I struggle with words, and am not as witty as I used to be, figured it was just an age thing. Does these really help?

I work as a night-time security guard at large events. I used to be prescribed add's when I was in college. While Add's are useful for studying, I find that they stimulate me a little "too much". when I'm working. Moda helps me get the job done, while helping me focus when I need to focus. But at the end of a 12+ hour shift, I can go to sleep. Sleep is much more difficult with add's still in your system.

couldn't agree more! sleep is the foundation to sanity
I'm very sensitive the addy, even after 13-14 hours I have a difficult time sleeping. No such issue with mod as long as I take it in the morning.

What?  The big C will.  You need a 'holiday' from the addy if you're taking 120mg at a time.  That type of dose over periods of time will have

a serious effect on your health....not exaggerating either.
That has to be a typo, there's no way anyone can take 120mg of addy. I'm sensitive to 20 mg.

It doesn't have to be.  Tolerance to any drug gives users an ability to exceed the 'normal' dose.  The max dose per day for addy is 60mg.

This is only twice the daily dose.  Done over a period of time (I'm talking a while...not necessarily only a couple of weeks) this type of med can

cause serious issues.  People don't realize that even though children are given this stuff like candy it is still a schedule 2 amphetamin.
Central nervous system stimulants like Adderral, ritalin, meth, etc. exert a serious stress on one's cardiovascular system.  They are clearly a bad idea for those with cardio/high blood pressure issues or for those who take large doses over an extended period of time. They commonly cause rapid or irregular heartbeat, delirium, panic, psychosis, and heart failure.

Modafinil, on the other hand, potentially creates a "focus" without the cardio downsides with a few caveats... when taken early in the day it won't disrupt sleep patterns.  Also, a half dose of 100mg will, in most cases, get the job done with far fewer negative issues.  Moda, for most, is not an "everyday" solution and should be used selectively only when needed.

Nothing takes the place of a good night's rest and cup of joe on rising...
Good post. But, may I add that many people confided to me that they were placed on adderrall as children, and have never been able to be free from addiction to either a stimulant or some similar med.

We are wreaking havoc on our children's health.

One friend called his generation: Generation RX as so many of them were put on drugs. To make controlling them easier in school. Or, home.

You may be correct, but big moneyed drug companies won't make money on u getting a good nites sleep and drinking coffee.

Disgusting but true.

This.

They still shove the ADD meds like candy. Last physical with DD, talked about her  grades and attention some. They hand you packets to give to the teachers to fill out, so they can diagnose it.
