Helllo -

So I defiantly apologize if this is not a thread that needs to be post here or even is in the right context.

I just know after being a part of an IOP forum (in some way or fashion) for the last ...10+ yrs there has really NOT been a place or subject (that i have found) that "Noobs"
could really separate or "introduce" themselves to the senior or "AUTHENTICATED" members.

Truly this might not even be appropriate to some of you. As to everyone thier own on.

Reason saying is (Yall) the admins or seniors HAVE to have a quick and snap judgement / opinion of a bunch of "Noobs" in very short period of time to "catch" the (phony's)

I Know is a ton of time and for that matter dedication, and a tremendous amount of (what seems like a endless amount of frustration). This Thread is Just basically a rendition and summed up story of my LiFE and what brought me to the IOPworld....

So I grew up a pretty Independat take care of yoursefl kinda guy.. needless to say I DID what i wanted.   I grew up : "on the wrong side of the tracks" (TO SOME) :0

At the age of 13 i was working at a "car shop" Cosmetics and Mechanical. At this time I have been kicked out of my second school. I didnt always like authority. Or it didn't like me>>Smile

By the age of 14 I got into racing fourwheelers. For some you might think this is silly or "only ATVs" Well these particular 4 wheelers where capable of going upwards of 130 MPH. Well i had a banshee 2 stroke, extended A-arm, extended forks, blown throttle bodies, Tumee T5 exhaust among other things. !!IT WOULD FLY!!
I have been clocked going 130 MPH before an 1/8 of a mile by a radar gun.

The reason i bring this up is the "beginning"

One day i was with some buddies at the "strip" This was an eighth of a mile track beside a railroad track.
At this particular "drag trap" there were anywhere to 100  - 1000 "bikes" a weekend that showed up to race. On this particular evening I was Undefeated in my class along with my best friend at the time! Keep in mind there are no judges- refs- OFFICIAL ANYTHING! LOL

Well this next race changed MY LIFE..

I was racing my best-friend on two of the baddest bikes in the County maybe just maybe STATE. well Us being both competitors lined up not knowing what was about to go down.. to some it up we hit the line to give the guys and galls a show. WE DID...
So i jump out front, right off the light he is right on my "bumper". we go like this for maybe 130 yards, Well just so happens the same time we started racing a train started coming. (right along RR tracks)
So here we are BOTH going 80-90+ MPH on four wheeler s 15 ft from a speeding train.

Relax Nobody ran into train or got smashed ran over etc.. although the next move that my BFF<LOL> made is one that has scarred BOTH of us for life.

So with me up in front by maybe a half a bike link he decides to clip my back tire. purpose=doubt it. Try and beat me=yes. Going 90+ on a four wheeler and someone hits your back tire = NOTHING GOOD.

So the four wheeler flips they say over 15 times. Well you see during the flipping i was getting thrown down the gravel dirt "strip" by the time i landed and where it started flipping they say was over 300 ft. Well it didn't end there. So you know the 4 wheeler that was being tossed whatever many times?? yeah, well it had to come down..

JUST SO HAPPENS it found me..

It popped my hip out of place the ball of my hip broke in half and THAT got wedged onto my pelvis BUT in between was my sciatic nerve.. OUCH!!! LOL

And thats just the beginning.

Im sorry but you know i know that everyone has a story on here (although some DONT)
I just thought there should be a Post that if a noob or someone that doesnt speak often, should have a place just encase they want to just TELL it through their Point of view. Because you know sometimes this is A LOT EASIER to talk about things rather that to some"body"..

Alright just felt good to me so i wrote it Thanks.

~D~

Oh and just felt like i should do it before the BIG 5 0!!

!D!
Oh and this was probably about 20+ years ago...

I kinda want to take this down now because it is only 1/100 of the whole story but didnt think that i should share everything to the public!

ha oh well it is what it is..

Wow, sounds horrible.  I think some of our other members have had motorcycle accidents.  And are you gonna be 50 soon?

Ha Not quiet 50 but yeah I need to explin my age a lil better. I was 13-14 when i started racing fourwheelers and i was 19-20 when i had the wreck. Sorry should have explained a lil more detailed.

And yes it was horrible what cam with that wreck is still with me today. I was in a wheelchair for the first two - three years and still where a prosthetic to this day. (foot drop)
you only have ten minutes to edit a post or thread u made.

if u want it deleted now, u make a mod report and as us to do so.

or, u mention it here.
dbody... Indeed that was not only a freak accident, but a severe one... I would venture to say that you are lucky that you didn't break your neck in all that....

As Charon said, if you want/need the thread deleted, say so right here or use the "Report" button and it'll be taken care of...

Thanks for sharing this...

thanks Ice! and yes it was horrible! I had to ride in my friends lap to the hospital 45 miles away.. (nearest) EVERY single ant We ran over i felt! my hip was out of place so i couldnt move it and the ball was in half just  sitting on my nerve! at that time i was roughly 130lbs and it took 6 orderlys to get my hip back in place were the could operate!

couldnt administer meds because then the law i guess was somn about parents had to be there if under 21 or there was a reason. well they were at Our Houseboat in LA. not a house boat you all are thinking of. this is anchored in middlew of a 30 aacre lake in the middle of a swamp and nearest store is 50 miles! so it took them more than 4 hours to get to me!! NOTHING TO KILL PAIN

Anyway slowly but surely yall were here the rest...

And if either you ICE or you CHAR would PM me a have a question.. thanks!
That sounds extremely painful, dbody. My grandson is into racing and it is a big concern for me.

Thanks for sharing! Smile
