I'm worried about our Slick .... When dealing with this kind of stuff, it seems as though the woman feels like it's "her fault" when in actuality IT IS NOT .... He chooses the substance over her and he alone has to control the situation... His situation before he can even expect anyone else to put up with him ....

You cannot make anyone do anything they don't want to do! I just don't see choosing anything over my SO ... The one that truely loves me... The one that accepts my faults ... (there are plenty to choose from) ... But they want to make it seem like it's their partener's fault and it isn't ... They feel inadequate and feel the need to blame someone, anyone but theirselves ...

He needs more help than she can give... He needs to qiut if it leads to this crap ... Does it mean more than the love she gives? I think not ... Beer/Whiskey cannot take another human's place and if it does, well they ain't worth puttin up with .. PERIOD!

The only way to to get through the "cloud" is to get out.... I hate to say that, but it's the truth ... If he won't give you what you deserve, then he doesn't deserve you ...

You are not his personal punchin bag... Another man would whip his a$$ and he knows it so he picks on someone that won't fight back on his level ...

Sorry for the rant.... It just pi$$es me off ...

Women deserve more than we can give them for all they do for us .... It's hard enough to make it in this world without fearing the one you share your bed with ... Men should protect the women that have thier backs no matter what ... They can be drunks all by theirselves ...

Okay ... I'm shuttin up ... It just rubs me the wrong way ...

Well said Ice. Usually it's the biggest cowards that feel they have a right to beat up on women. In my opinion, they are scared little boys that wouldn't dare think of hitting anyone that would fight back. Guess it makes them feel strong and powerful.

My best friend's 1st husband use to beat her horribly. Until one day she had enough and knocked out his front teeth. He never bothered her again and she wised up and left that little coward.

Slick, in no way am I suggestin' you do the same cause there's no way of knowing if that would end the beatings. Just sayin' that it worked for my friend.

But, this has to be a wake up call for you. If he does it once, be sure it will happen again. Please don't leave yourself open to anymore of his abuse. That's NOT luv.

I pray you're alright and we hear from you soon. You've been thru more than enough lately.

Come home to us. We luv ya.

Take care of you. Heart

i definitely have developed a problem with alcohol after i put down the boy for good... i can't speak to anyone elses experience but i have a hard time relating to people who harm others under the influence of various things. i almost want to say that inebriation is no excuse for that kind of behavior, but i don't want to be biased because i personally pretty much retain my core personality under most chemical influences which is primarily empathetic. i've had one jekyl and hyde situation in my life and i hadn't been asleep for 7 days and blacked out for 30 minutes. maybe some people really do lose themselves like that on a regular basis, it's not for me to say... but i try not to discriminate different substances people are into.. or say if you take this thing you're definitely going to act this particular way but... i do wish people would cool it with the hurting other people either way.
