Not sure how they even got my email address but I have been receiving multiple emails per day. All start with hello dear etc. I received a call a few days ago from what sounded like a lady of Indian decent telling me I could have my order released when I sent money via a certain payment method. I told her that I never placed an order in the first place. She then started trying to sell me over the phone. Blocked the phone number and the email address. Beware guys!
Vendors whom go down will sell client info. Its sad.
Further, some forums have the audacity to either be in bed with the vendors, so to speak, and release info in that fashion. And, sometimes some ne'er do wells will hack a vendor. Or come on to a forum and write such messages to any member that allows his/her email to show.
Most of us have used a vendor that sold our info and many of us have gotten these calls. To be safe, keep an eye on your payment method in case this wacko has hold of that.
I have a ten dollar burner phone from walmarts. Net10. (Further, I used one vendor for 16 yrs.) So, fortunately, I never got these calls.
You sound to be wise enough to handle these irksome people.
I do get the irksome emails from morons whom assume I am a male. Why, I can make "her" happy tonite with the products they try to entice me with in email. Or, I can get a Russian bride. Woo Hoo. Thing is, I am a woman. Don't need no stinkin products to make "her" happy tonite. Nor, do I need a Russian bride. (A housekeeper would be nice, but they don't offer that service.)
Very annoying. As irksome as Gmail can be however, it does allow me to report mail as spam and I shall not get the same mail again. It goes directly to spam mail.
They are trying to make u think u have had a relationship with this vendor by calling you dear. Or, trying to appear to be soooo compassionate.
To any whom read these, ignore. Get into the habit of not even opening the emails. Never click on "Opting out" options because it usually does not work. And, the perpetrator of these emails will know they have a live one on the other end.
I shall move this into our blacklist soon. You may still view it.

Oilguy, or someone probably a ventor who close his current bussiness sold your info to onother or you are scammed . Do not reply at any chance to them , these kind of morons are easy to get rid off. Do not respond to them or if so tell them it is a mistake and you have nothing to do with the person supposed to be you. I remember before some years an idiot tried to fool me , at the end he said he was going to LE if I refuse to sent money for a non exist order. It like a nightmare before Christmas. Listen to what our Admin just siad and stay safe with your cash intact . There anre needs beyond these days and we hope everyone here will make it to be safe and healthy for the next year to come .
Thanks to Charon's tip I also have a burner phone and I love it, no more unwanted calls.
