Question open for all,
I crossed the border from USA into Canada yesterday,
The Canadian border agent pulled me aside and was trying to bait me into saying something about an LL i got a few months back.
He searched my bags and there was nothing (no drugs)
and then he let me go
Has anyone heard of this or had this done before?
Was very strange
Almost like a warning
Very strange indeed. Hopefully not a bad omen.
But it is a bad omen. The men was blackisted from LEO with just an LL . This was in electronic records that followed our unlucky friend until he gets to the border police. In simple words the witchunting expanded to the right of crossing the borders to another country. An LL just receive a new meaning that can follow you like been a criminal. I dont know Charon if there is a legel way to protect ourselves from such an discrimination.
It was a very strange experience
Has anyone else been 'flagged' after receiving a LL
May God help us if a database in now in place. The online world is all upside down now. So, is the regular medical profession. Terrifying.
Bonji11:
If your LL was related to the seizure of a Schedule II or III substance, then I would not be surprised that you were entered into a database and searched at a border crossing. If, however, your LL was for a Schedule IV substance, and the volume seized was typical of that ordered for personal use, then I agree with Charon. This is a terrifying development.

Oh my!!
I agree with all of the previous comments, in that, the thought of one's name being added to a "special" database is quite frightening, indeed!! First, we have some Doctors that don't want to prescribe certain things, which is the reason that many of us find ourselves here in the first place. Now this! It seems, that at this rate, soon we won't have anywhere to go for help!! Everywhere you turn, you find yourself in these "catch 22" type of situations. This sucks!
Hey bonji, did the letter come from usa or Canada?did they act strange when you entered the u.s?do you have dual citizen?at least now you know to shuffle things around on the next go. Good luck.

AMEN to that. It's very cruel to deny patients with documented pain problems that have followed the law and done it the right way. I have a horrible feelin' they are slowly doin' away with certain drugs. My PM doc recently cut my dose in half and it's AGONY. I've been on the same dose for at least 20 yrs. and this big cutback is torture.
People that are in pain management should be left alone. We are NOT the ones that are causing the problems, but we are punished just the same as the addicts. That is so unfair and it's gonna make street drugs much much worse when PM patients have no choice other than go to the streets to find relief. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong. Something has to change before they cause a problem like they can't imagine.

Cricket,
Exactly!! As for the last part of your comment, I believe that "they" have ALREADY caused a problem like they could never imagine!!
