Morning and hello,

I am notoriously bad at message board posts, and am having difficulties now with pain, wd, and just general understanding of (and by) my family that chronic pain is something that messes your life up forever. And you have to smile and pretend you don't have it.

So here I am, I am at least this week trying to figure out exactly what is wrong with me ( because chronic migraines, stiff neck and discomfort) is not a diagnosis. And triptan medication is like a poison -  I've taken imitrex out of desperation so many times only to regret the rebound effect from ONE DOSE for 4-5 days.

I know this is just a hi hello my life sucks, but wanted to post something here. I suspect I have some form of arthritis with a good dose of anxiety around the pain and other issues, but that's me.

thanks all for listening  Blush
I think the good folks here can hook you up with some more old fashioned pain meds and a more modern support system than families are known for

By "good folks here" I mean vendors of course.
welcome aboard. may u find all u need.
Welcome Hellokitty24.

I hope you enjoy the forum.
Welcome!  Migraines are so tough to treat. Everyone has a different reason they come on. For my sister it's allergys (Foods that cause inflammation). For my wife it's tmj (jaw) most likely from bad invisaline. She is gettin new invisaline from a specialist next month. Don think give up looking for alternatives.
Welcome, also from a new member. I used to suffer migraines quite a bit, and they put me on imiprimine, which I assume is similar to imitrex. What a goddawful drug. So I know what you mean. It turned me into a zombie, like having a chemical labotomy is what I'd call it. Lasted for days. Yet doctors go on merrily prescribing it because it has 'no abuse potential'. Of course it has no abuse potential because you feel worse than before. Unfortunately this is the institutional schizophrenia that brings most of us here. I wonder how many doctors actually consider the contradiction. I haven't met one yet.

There are genuine gems of wisdom here on IOPlist. Just read everything that you can. Be safe if you get on a real painkiller. Don't take more than you need, keep doses a small as possible. And don't obsess over meds or pain (I know, easier said than done).
Welcome Hello kitty >^..^<

I don't know if it's legal in your state. However, you would be an excellent candidate for mmj. If you don't like smoking, vape or use tinctures. If you have tried it all, many say it's a godsend. Look for a compassionate doctor who knows about strains. Many of them still are learning themselves. It sounds to me that perhaps, you should look for a high CBD strain indica. They have them nowadays with so little THC to CBD ratio, you feel better and don't even feel high, it's great.

Welcome to the forum Smile
Welcome Hello kitty...Smile
Isn't CBD oil legal now in all 50 states?
I went through chronic migranes in my younger years. I'm sorry you are experiencing them. I still remember the pain. This is a great group. Welcome!
