So true, and let's not forget the mall chains.
The worst quality for the top dollar. I've gone to mall chains twice both times were not cheap anctually they were quite spendy and I had to go back for adjustments in a matter of weeks.
At least with the cheap places, it's not as bad if you have to adjust them. For plastic frames, I use my hair dryer to bend the arms to fit properly. Another skill I acquired via ye ole you tube, lol.
This is a great thread . Thanks for posting LilRaquel. I think I may try them. So all I need is a copy of my eye glass prescription? Too cool and the prices are great. I too have many pairs of glasses. Can't wear contacts and like you use them as a fashion statement.
Will up date whe I order and get them.

Yes, you just need the paper copy to fill in the data fields. They don't need to see it.
It's hard as you can't try them on. What I do for perspective is I measured a pair of glasses that fit well and they list the measurements on their site. Also, if you know your face shape you can kinda guess what looks are good. The site is cheap enough to even experiment.
Yea they have a thing on the site where you add your picture and can see what they look like on ya too.

Yeah, it was a scam...I was getting them from his office. Something like $400 for the frames and lenses. Of course he re-did the lenses 6 times for "free". At those prices he probably still made $300 in profit. I understand many 'local' optometry places get their lenses made in China anyway these days (whatever happened to the days of next day pick up?...well, China is what happened...)
Funny how I posted my glasses lasted 4 years and they finally broke last night. Oh well it was a good run. Guess I gotta go get an updated script anyway, and listen to the optometrist tell me how they don't recommend I order glasses online as only optometrist can ensure a proper fit.

Listed years and look as good as my friends who spend 30 times what I paid. I think I paid like $15 for my last pair and still wearing them 4 years later.
Thank you for starting it LilRaquel.
And Thank you so much BigGuy82
i've found on this site the kind of glasses that i've been looking for from many years
