Okay so I have been hearing that they un-gagged an informant on the uranium sale to Russia.

They are going to get new information that had been hidden for years.

One of the interesting news facts that came out is that Mueller head of the FBI when this sale went down is now the one investigating the Russian scandals.

Hmmm. He should recuse or never been the one appointed but then again must have been intentional.

I also thought of who made away with millions doing this deal. And why she needed the money so bad to take over the DNC.

And it was promised that the uranium could not be sold to Russia and taken out of the country so they circumvented that by letting it go to Canada and then to Europe.

Right is right and wrong is wrong and this was wrong.

So we as a country are being told that we cannot develop the isotopes tech for scanning  people for types of cancer because of a deal we made in the 80's with Russia.

Just so much done wrong by so many and it needs to stop.

We are buying this scanning material from outside America, good grief.

We have been sold out at every opportunity the last 16 years hoping it stops.

I will be watching for more on this and updating .

I think the outing of HC was and is a dont look here look there trick to create a diversion.

But that is just me.
I can't comment on the role of specific people. But here is what I know about the nuclear side...

I believe the reason for selling uranium to other countries was to control how enriched it is (i.e. enough for power production, but not bombs) and in the case of Russia, post USSR, in exchange for a massive weapons decommissioning program (overseen by the IAEA).

Nuclear reactors are designed with different goals in mind. The huge majority in the USA are boiling water, or pressurized water, power reactors. They are designed to make electricity and plutonium (originally due to their Cold War vintage). To make the isotopes you need something you can take on and offline, and something you can load materials into quite easily. The bio-shielding on a power reactor, and the decay heat, make it impractical to use for manufacturing many isotopes. Besides, you can't keep losing billions of watts of power off the grid whenever isotope production demands you shut down the reactor and wait two weeks for it to cool. They'd be offline more than online. The USA has some smaller research reactors that could be, and indeed have been, used to make isotopes, but at this point in time it is more economic to buy isotopes in.

You normally use a very different type of reactor for isotopes that is far smaller, and doesn't generate so much heat.  Canada manufactures and sell a lot of isotopes to the USA. Quite a few come out of Sellafield in the UK from their waste separation. Russia also makes a lot of isotopes, but mostly sell to other parts of the world (they sent some polonium to London a few years ago, but that's a very different story...). I couldn't comment on what the USA says they can't make without knowing the isotope. There are a few that could be used to boost up the power of a nuclear bomb, or "salt" it to make things extra radioactive afterwards. Maybe it was one of those that was in this 80s ban?

There was a very restrictive law about nuclear materials and information not leaving the USA, which followed the end of WWII. (It cut the UK out the loop, despite cooperating on the Manhattan Project). But Hyman Rickover, who more or less invented US nuclear submarines, shipped a load of fuel out to Canada in the 50s despite the law. It has been done a number of times when considered expedient. Do you think Israel built their bombs without some "help"? ;-)
The problem with Uranium One is not so much about its enrichment as much as it is about the enrichment of the Clintons.

The optics here are that they'll sell anything for a buck, country be damned.
