We currently have 248 members registered.

It does not sound like many. But, the questions. Its mostly all out there. We expect some to have some knowledge of the IOP world.

At least I haven't noticed a "What does SY stand for here, yet."

Well, i am letting them get settled. Of course going to fireworks and walking forever have left me a tad bit weary.

They have no provisions for disabled. We had to wait hours for a shuttle bus back to our car. And, this is a small town.

Argh. End of summer fireworks display.

But, I go to check a thread and I return to main area and see five more people waiting. All seem reasonable.

People come on and help when I get tuckered out. So, not to worry.

But, I think we are all uncomfortable with the onset of new members. Ok, it means u r somewhat popular. But, moreso, it means u r prey to scam artists wanting to rip off the anticipated neophytes/newer members.

Aint gonna happen.

But, man, its hard to trust a new person. I liked the number we had, but it was not significant for our Vendors.

So, 248 members. sighs. and, some of them, including rip off vendors, are including me on their mass mailings. idiots. learn english for one, and for two, learn to use the BBC feature. (could be BCC. i am that tired.)

So, Max Bennett whom is not a member is emailing anyone he can. i never used him.

Out of 25, that ET let in when he banned one, at end, he said maybe five would last.

I wonder how many will last here. Depends on their motivations.

Charon I like reading your thoughts on the surge of members and such. Yes it is an uncomfortable to get big and all like that not knowing who is who....I had to chuckle when younsaid no one has asked what SY stands for , yet.....ha


It is tiring to go see fireworks yes I know about the waiting and having to park so far and the the crowds at the end....ugh

i have not spoken to co admin about this. or my Queen. but, i think we should stop now.

this could potentially be overload. so, unless one of u guys actually asks for someone to be admitted, i think we have to stop. see if the other IOPlist posters, whom joined in the beginning but stayed at ETs for vogue and whatever, come and post now. none has even visited us since registration. so, i wonder why five thousand are not hitting us up.

but, lets not lose the feeling of the Good Morning thread. the photographs thread. none of us needs or wants to be training newbies at this point in our lives.

it seems to me, that, the names waiting up above me, will continue to wait. way too many at once. let's see how they interact with our style.

i am way too old and ill to be baby sitting on a forum.

i really liked the good morning feeling we had here.

let's try and keep it. but, if u have a good friend whom is our style, let me know.


i am taking a wait and see approach. do they hit the welcome thread?

talking aloud. methinks we have enough new members to get used to for now. feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

just put a hold on at 300 for a few days or weeks it wont hurt I really like the referrals myself but since no 1 referred me that's kind of hypocritical

Charon I think you are right on the money.

I think holding things where they are would be a good idea unless someone has a special friend that fits in for referral. then consider them.

But I 100% agree with YOU. Like Audrey Hepburn said.

I liked the feeling we have had in those threads just like you mentioned.

Letting too many in from a closed site could change this forum so much and maybe in a bad way, so holding things where they are for a while to digest what we have already is a smart move.

Put the brakes on it at a full stop and just have a waiting list…..Dont feel bad about it either.

 Charon…..talk to the other admins and mods but I think most of us members are okay with how you feel…stopping new members for a while or whatever you think .

I do remember some of them. one had the audacity to diss me bigtime once I was banned. No idea why. I think he called me a shill for ttm2u. Hell, I hate a vendor I may or may not use is all over every forum. eh gads.

They sure made their presence known last nite and today. I was stunned this morning. You have no idea how many times I had to edit out info clearly stated to be kept off forum.

Isn't it such a breath of fresh air for us to be able to discuss this and no smart remarks and fighting about this or that…I like the feel when you dont have to be watching for the blindside hit from someone.
