Index funds would be the only one's I would consider, due to their low management cost. The costs of many other mutual funds can really eat into your return over time, plus index funds will outperform investors that try to time the market. Wealth preservation, what there is of it, is my best option now, though I do seek modest gains to protect against inflation.
Party is definitely over for now.
For long term peeps- like your retirement investment and you are 25-45 yes old- keep investing. You are buying in cheap now but it could
take years to recover and move ahead again. Stay diversified- always- so you don't get killed.
Use Index funds/ETF's like MOJIM suggested.
For those not in that age bracket above- don't add any new money now-but don't sell now either. ...….MHO...………...Folken
What separates Billionaire investors and the rest of us is that they don't panic when the market crashes. When individual investors start dumping stocks at a loss, the well off see it as a buying opportunity. Warren Buffet's famous quote to shareholders was "When it's raining gold, reach for a bucket, not a thimble." That strategy can still apply to the average investor if you have reserves in a liquid safe investment.
don’t panic. Just be ready for lots of volatility I’m hearing the word recession used more and more to describe 2019
Nobody- Nobody - can predict the stock market.
Diversification, purchasing quality and time has been the only way.

Time is a great equalizer. You can make some mistakes if you are young and still have time to
make up for it; but if you play risky high PE stocks and you are older you are asking to get your butt kicked.

Buy what people need- not what they want- cause they will always buy what they need, despite the market circumstances.................MHO..........Folken
