uhm, uh, when i was fifteen, my GF and i would hitchhike to a private pool in the town. We spoke in french talk. no idea why. and we stupidly thought that if only two men were in the car, we could take em. twelve men could have been on the floor and its the mercy of God that kept us safe.

so, we went to the pool, and some hi school seniors, hunks, were life guards. they drove us to jones beach.

we had bikinis then. and i dont know how to swim. i hear it was a rip tide that came by. my GF was crying how she can tell my mother i am drowned.

but my bikini top had come off. and no way in hell was i coming out without that top. it was so close. the lifeguards were fairly useless or amused, but by golly no one else saw a thing cuz being raised irish catholic, modesty is everything.

would never ever wear a two piece that ties on top or sides cuz that is asking for trouble for me, and humor for others.

yes. it did happen to someone else. but, i lived. *its like how did u know?*

I couldn't have done it without other members contributing, via posts and encouraging compliments

Vacations always seemed to me like they went slowly at first and then zoom! it was the last day and gone.

Tomorrow is Wednesday July 4, I think it will go quickly cuz of fireworks, songs I like, and yummy traditional holiday food!

Then our Summer Extravaganza Vacation will be like most - last few days will fly by.

We'll all shake our heads wondering 'how has it already been over a week?'
Hopefully smiling over the good times we enjoyed together here  and memories we made as friends.

I am sorry DW I have not been as active as I would have hoped in the awesome celebration.

You have done a wonderful job.       

okay here is a short story.
One time in a city near me they were having fireworks of course I wanted to go see them and I started driving towards them.
They were going to set them shoot them off of a barge in the river, so I had this idea of going to the rivers other side and park along the gardrail being almost right under them.
Good idea huh.

Well as I got close the traffic was bumper to bumper and the time is usually 10 PM to start and so I was worried about being able to pull over at the right time .

Because the police started making everyone keep moving .
but I was so lucky.
I was almost were I would have picked to pull over and they started and EVERYONE just stopped and got out on their cars and watched .
It was so Cool because being so close the noise and the colors were great.

The finale was really the best ever I have seen being so close smoke was everywhere and everyone cheered.
I also did it was an unusual event that only happened that one time 
because the city paid the famous family that does so good the report of the boom just made me get excited, ya know how that is.

So all the years after that one time the police were thinking ahead and made announcements that they would not allow that.
I can remember sitting on the hood of my car with popcorn I had made and it was great time.
