I do have a (probably dense) question. Does a post = a thread? I assume a post is not a reply or comment on a thread that you have initiated?

A post is something that you post on any thread.
Like this is a thread.
A thread has posts in it.
So you cannot really have a thread unless ther are posts in it.
I guess there could be a thread that has a title with zero posts in the thread.
Does this start to make sense to you.
ask away sometimes what seems simply to one is difficult to others so ask anyway.

So its my belief that another forum gives members extra post credits if they begin a thread. We don't do that here.
In fact, we appreciate it if you do answer to a pre existing thread in order to help another member.
To help another? it is awesome to see. A little kindness goes such a long long way.
Welcome aboard. Good thing we stopped automatically deleting accts for failing to fulfill the rule that mandates one make one hundred posts in the first three months of admission.

Hi! Welcome! Carefully read the rules. Pay close attention to what you can say about vendors, product, country and payment methods. Avoid those and you'll avoid a stern warning lol. ;-)
