Yes i have to find a job but have been on antidepressants and magazines for severe anxiety.  Have had doctor endorsded magazine subsriptions up until i quit my job to take care of dying father, so i have relied on iops to handle my needs.  Uses iops for yesrs but due to lack of doctors reluctance to give most effective mags or to low of dose, i did have that needed label so to speak so when i changed jobs there was no roblem.  But now i am needing to find a job and dont have the doctor authorization and have no insurance and i have to find job.  I am terrified of the consequences of withdrawl which would keep me from leaving my house much less go for interview.  I just dont know what to do.  Any substitutions i could use to allow me to function to get a job and would also assure a negative screening.  Free clinics around here dare not issue those type mags, and found out my local government subsidized facility also im sure will refuse since they no longer employ psychiatrist but nurses.  So basically im poor and cant afford to see a doctor to probably get refused proper magszines anyway and i dont have the money to even see one anyway.  I am tapering what i have left but when thats gone, im terrified when i run out....panic ridden daily when i have to take one cause thats one less i have.  Im just venting now cause i will soon be incompacitated for a while very soon and im just scared.  Really scared.  Any herbal or something not detected to keep me from hitting rock bottom, and that includeds profound depression, intrusive thoughts, obsessive thoughts of death and suicidal thoughts abnd praying to not wake untp.  Oh its horrible.  Oh well i msam feelinh so sorry for myself.  I know its possible to abstain cause ive done it before.  But the pain is so profound that it cause so many problem cause then the comments of just snap oit of it.  Oh well sorry for going on and on about my crap.  Its so hard to find a sympathetic caregiver unless you pay them out the ass, but thats another topic.  Oh well, pray for me i guess.  Unfortunately that never helps.  Guess im just getting it out by writing it out.  Sorry guys. Bye

Sorry for all the grammatical and spelling errors but im already getting that "whats the point" attitude i hate so much.  Also i apologize for on and on about my problems and to some im sure it sounds like an annoying boob.  But i really am scares and i have to work.  And i guess its my rapid taper making me be so incoherant at times...sorry but i know people here have serious anxiety problems as well so i hope those folks undersrand the screwed up pattern of thinking that hapoenss.  Oh welk i hope everyone it doing well.  Well bye guys
Danny ... I, too suffer from major depression... It is, to say the least, horrible!

I feel for your pain.. Regrettably, the "doctors" these days are scared to death of our wonderful D3A .. I mean
who needs to spend all that money on school an years of study, not to mention years of practical application
to become a doctor, when all one needs is 6 months (or less) of D3A training to say exactly what patients need...

They have put us all in a hell of a hole... That sux to put it mildly ..

I have battled this crap for .... Let's just say a long time and over the years (some much tougher that others) it seems to have gotten to have less drastic swings,,,, The lows were EXTREMELY difficult, but on the other end,
the highs were fantastic!

The only thing that did help was low dose Xan**x and even then I really had to try to keep
both feet on the ground... Difficult at best ...

Luckily, I just happened to find a good mate that helps me through those down turns...
Now this may not even be the answer for everyone, but it has helped me more than anything else..

Oh I still have to dose up from time to time, but sparingly ... Like I said, maybe age has slowed the pendulum's
swing ...

Hang in there my friend, you are not alone ... The doctors are failing us at a tremendous rate ...

Xan**x does not stay as long as somethings, maybe cleanse 4 -5 days before an interview and they shouldn't show
up if done in low doses ...

I only wish I had better info for you, because this depression/anxiety crap is awful at best ...

If however, you happen to have a passed mag script, even if 8 mths old or even more, you could say that you were scribed these and being without a doctor, you only used them when absolutely necessary ... Because you could not get another refill ... having stretched them as far as possible that would be the only reason I could keep them this long!! That may ease their sketchy minds ...

However that line "Well bye guys" has me very worried ... Please be careful ... You cannot be replaced...

Ice
Well I do know if you have had a script for certain med in the last year it was scripted it’s still valid. I had to do this about a year ago unless somethings changed. Even for drug tests at job.
Hi Danny,
first off please accept my prayers for your father.
And, you do not have to apologize because you have anxiety or depression. The fact that you accept and recognize these issues is a big step.

As Ice and JK1976 suggest- if you were scripted, you are good for at least a year.

Also, the employment you seek may not require drug screening- as I understand it, only about 1/2 of the jobs do drug screening and it is probably
employment 'type' which would be most effected eg. major manufacturer, security/police/TSA etc.---- so the job you want may not require it.

Do seek out some personal support please- be it a close friend/relative or in your case free psychological help.

You can probably find a lot of support in some of the threads here as well.

Best of luck.............Folken
Hi, Danny. Sending prayers for your father. I suffer from depression and anxiety attacks, too. I had a legit subscription from a doctor for a magazine. When my work at home job offered me a promotion, I had to do a drug test. They never asked me what medications I took, and my drug screen came back fine. Like the others said, if you've had a subscription within the last year, that would suffice IF any one questioned it.
Thanks guys for all your support. I have decided to just ho for it and just apply for jobs. And i wonder if i cant find a mag container could i get a list from pharmacy and say i just took last dose or they had expired i threw them out. If i have to i will try fast food. Although the crowded fast pace and yelling is scary i must take some chances. Get a job, save some money, see doctor, show my records and even if just a small dose will allow me to pursue something more substantial. You guys are part of my heart. Just want you to know that. Bless you all
Danny we are all still here for u. Try to just let us know u r ok.

I always heard that if u can see a therapist on a college campus, the fee will be much lower. U know u can live in a house with other family members but if u r ur sole support and cannot work yet, then try for medicaid. The drs are not adverse to scripting anti depressants yet.

I don't actually know but if u r up to writing to remind me where u live in general area, i can look for low cost psych and health care.

I was on a waiting list for 2 or 3 yrs but i finally got a call that i am entitled to some care for dental issues. So, there are programs still working out there.

And, if u ask a doctor for propranolol, which does not stop the anxiety but u dont show it, which does help, is available. online or docs will script it. no rec value. but it does help me not feel i shall have a heart attack before dawn.

u know? Yes, I am a depressive my entire life. I did not want their meds as it interfered with concentration.

Please talk to us or PM me if u would like. Or talk here cuz i see many of our finest and smartest and kindest members has suffered as u r now.

You have no idea how afraid i get. This year, due to age and illness progression, it is the first time that total withdrawal without warning is bitching to do. And i survive on disability. Not much. My state was not willing to treat me for the illnesses the disability doctors confirmed. Only methadone if i agreed to die in 3 months. Well that was a f*cked up plan i thought.
Many of us are looking for places day and nite. Dont give up hope. and try for propranolol aka inderal from a doctor in US> it will slow down ur heart. it does help.

And i am here in Pm. Hang in there Danny boy.
I have heard of the propanolol. Does that help with the pounding heart and palpitations...which is usually when i know that soon i will have paralyzing panic. I really do think that would help
yes it does danny. i am using it every day to fill in cuz i got hit by lack of valium that i, also, need. and using the small amt of valium later. cuz they put me on this bout fifty yrs ago due to tremors. the prelude to teenage lupus or MS brought on by a dental implant. my dentist knew i was now sick, but no one knew what to do.

i have major shaking esp if i am nervous. which we all are all the time. i am always in fight or flight mode. Just the way i was raised. In fear.

But i can calm down and feel that no, i aint dying tonite from seizures. it does stop my breathing heavy from panic? and i can control my hands and the shaking.

Inderal was the US script. generic is propranolol. others here used it. twenty, forty and eighty mg. get forty or twenty and break in half.

It is a trick my medical dr sister (she does not practice now, btw) told me all the drs. did before public speaking and such.

Cuz when i feel the heart palpitations, i take them seriously. Esp cuz i am out of actual seizure meds. And as I age I am getting unable to handle all the symptoms i am manifesting.

B ut, inderal or propranolol witll help. i promise. and will keep searching for a place for u.
Thank you charon. Short comment but if you only knew the hope and grace in my heart it would take up a couple pages. Feels like a long distance call with the sister i never had.
