Im curious what people's opinions are in regards to the covid vaccines that keep getting recalled, at least here in Canada. Anyone else think they rushed them?

Lets see it this way. They are doing the phase 3, with the population. What they usually do in small group of person, 1000 for example, they are doing with billons of people . A vaccine that usually take 5 years , they are making all the studies with us, we are ( the ones that got the vaccines ) part of the experiment.
Now, Some are safer than other. If I have to choose a vaccine, I will go for the Pzifer one . Of course, the old vaccines, with just " death " virus, like the Sinopharm , are spouse to be safe ( of course , keep in mind it is made in China ) but are less effective .
I am a pro vaccine. In fact, I got the vaccine after it hit me hard ( I got Covid, hit me kind of hard ) . But, I think are many things, like Ivermectine ( check the study done in Israel from February of this year ) That this vaccine game.
Is everything strange with this disease, the disease per se , an what governments are doing. They didn't do this for the HIV , for example. Plus for most people is just a flu .
I don't know if anyone saw an Episode on 60 Minutes (March 7, 20210 it's available on youtube) but there was this Dr. in California who had read many years ago that the overwhelming Immune response from Covid could be prevented by an old off patent anti-depressant, LUVOX or Fluvoxamine. The severe covid-19 disease is not really caused by the virus but by the body's
excessive immune response to the infection. He did a small controlled study and found it was 100 % effective in preventing severe Covid-19 requiring a hospitalization or leading to death. The FDA was going to follow up with it. Quite interesting...

That is very interesting Tiger ...
I went and saw it, but it cut off right at the wrong time...
However, on 60 mins channel, I found a few more pieces of this puzzle ..
He sounds like he cares and wants to help not hinder recovery/prevention..
Thanks for sharing

Check in YouTube Dr Been . He is a Doctor from India ( They still have disease there that here are not even longer remember ) living in California. He use Ivermectine and Fluvoxamine .
think is, there is no money, no patent . That is the big thing . It is Sad, but it is the truth . In the beginning, they didn't even want to use steroids to treat it !
And now they want to release a new medication , that have the same success of ivermectin in preventing serious cases , but is a new drug with almost no studies .

Glad you recovered.
I might be wrong but I think a virus like COVID can cause death or illness
because of the immune response being too much for the patient to survive. When my dad died from COVID it was inflamation of his lungs leading to pnumonia. (Although I'm confused about why immune compromised people are at greater risk - I've heard it explained but don't understand it well enough to explain here. It's not my speciality.)
The AstraZeneca vaccine was UK based but stage 3 was in South Africa and Brazil because the UK lockdown had reduced COVID so much they couldn't do a proper test i.e. if there is hardly any COVID then you can't infer much from the results - you need areas rampant with it. Either that or what is called a challenge trial where healthy people with low risk of death agree to be deliberately infected after receiving the vaccine. They are ethically very difficult since the large numbers of participants needed to establish statistical significance mean that it is likely a few participants will die. To my knowledge it was discussed in the UK but not carried out because of the ethical problems.
I'm kinda surprised there isn't a vaccine 2.0 by now that covers the variants. However my country seems to have arbitrarily decided that COVID is over. I don't expect lockdowns forever since it can't be sustained (although China is trying). But I don't get why we aren't wearing masks. Ok, some people can't and I respect that, but for the average person it's not that inconvenient and if you do get COVID it's likely to be less serious since you'll have a lower viral load. Seems like a win:win to me, but I understand for some people it is a political issue.
