We had a bit of a glitch yesterday.  Admin of Steel is per usual our Hero whom resolved the issue.

Sorry guys and gals.

Welcome back. Enjoy St. Patricks Day. If you also don't drink, have a green edible, for the love of God. He won't mind.

Please please be careful cuz Horse's Padukkah's are out. Driving crazy. And they will be drunk as skunks. Cops started arresting drivers on the 16th round here and may follow up with check points during the weekend.

Happy St. Paddys Day!   Smile

Americans care more for St. Patrick's Day than the Irish do. Go figure.

~Lavender  Tongue
When I was younger the downtown Chicago St. Patrick's parade was held on St. Patrick's Day, no matter what day of the week it was.  Not a lot of work was done and a lot of businesses were closed...but the pubs were always open.  Wink
Now the downtown parade is the Saturday before March 17th, and the South Side Irish parade is the Sunday before.  After mass.  Always.  Big Grin

For my friends

Not necessarily. I am Irish but born in US. I don't drink. I don't go to bars. It tis the music of my country men and women that I treasure.

I am older than most of you. I have but a few members of my family still alive.

We treasure our heritage. Never a bar for me. Nor a drink. Nor do I think with my disabilities I could even get around Ireland. now.

We were put into slavery. My grandparents came over at thirteen. I celebrate the people, the strength and all the humor and love I received from weekly Irish parties at our home. Me grandmother did moonshine to start. Me grandfather became a hotel manager and wore diamond pinky rings.

Its a glorious day for those of us whom have no relatives with this recall left. We celebrate the relatives we shall see once again in Heaven. And our pets. Wouldn't be heaven without our family and pets.

But the Irish had signs put uP: NO BLACKS, NO JEWS, NO DOGS, NO IRISH. Kinda tough to get a job. But me family did it.

To the vast majority of Eire persons, our country made us stronger. We fear very little now. And we shall have glorious card games and religious debates in Heaven.

I keep my love for Eire always.

*btw, the groups i follow whom are Ireland born, they have to work on St patricks day. It is when the Irish cottages are rented out. The tourist industry flourishes. The men whom make Irish jewelry are on TV that day. So, I bet many an Eire will celebrate another day.

But we are proud of Irish heritage.

But I am special unique and extraordinary anyway. *its a legal term of art*

Well, I am working today and don't go to the bars anymore.  That's for people younger than me.
I understand the history of our people.
And I've decided to celebrate with positive fun holiday songs.
