I use tutanota.de, it's an great alternative to ProtonMail, there is no waiting list. The only con is that it is the user interface is kind of ugly, but oh well. Also, openmailbox.org may be viable.

I've heard that majority of providers will turn over info to authorities when requested. Does anyone have any suggestions for a e-mail provider thats like swiss bank secure?
This is my first reply! I'm a newbie? I wanted to say I know that Apple will never give over your personal information. They do not block emails from ANYONE including vendors and it's impossible to be hacked into. iCloud mail is the best way to go IMO. Have a fantastic day!

Hi! I'm happy to be here! Finally took the jump and decided maybe I needed some new friends in this lonely world! Well there is a big case now. Believe you can research Apple is refusing to give access to iCloud. Even with papers for big things like terrorism. I have not heard of hacking! Yikes! Now I will need to do some more reaearch! Thank you!
