The reason I trust my pups to have my back more than many people I know. Pets are as close to angels on earth to me. Especially dogs, but I've always been a dog person. I luv ALL animals, but have a special connection and bond of trust with my pups. Dog spelled backwards is God. Coincidence?? Hum.... RE: Good Deeds Thread-Happy News Only, Please! - Charon - 10-15-2016 Awesome. I saw them on news for a moment, and thought how helpful to many they could be. What a good deed. RE: Good Deeds Thread-Happy News Only, Please! - willie33 - 10-19-2016
RE: Good Deeds Thread-Happy News Only, Please! - Roses - 10-19-2016 I really enjoyed this one willie. It's a real good story. I have often talked about helping out at our animal shelter. I would love to do that but I know myself. I would find it so hard to resist adog in need, I can see myself with more than 1 or 2. When my boys were growing up , we had 6 dogs at one time. All except for one were shelter dogs. I only have one dog left. He was my mom's dog when she was alive & I took over keeping Puddin when she passed away. Puddin is a little/5lbs Maltese. He is not particularly the kind of dog that I would choose for myself. But my mom loved him & I feel the sameway about the little fella. I am not sure if you all recall that last Christmas morning my best friend, a 15lb mixed breed terrier, named Buddy died unexpectedly. He was only 8 years old & I still feel shock over how fast he got sick & died. I feel that I am ready for another dog now. It will be good for Puddin to have some companionship. The pup will have to be on the small size whengrown since Puddin isonly 5lbs. A bigger dog could hurt Puddin without meaning to. So I am on the lookout for a dog preferably on the smaller size yet sturdier than Puddin is. RE: Good Deeds Thread-Happy News Only, Please! - Popster - 10-19-2016 Great story....good policeman
