Just tried using WU for an order. 1st one went thru. 2nd one, my CC freaked out and denied it. Then WU site freaked and wouldn't let me place a 2nd order using a diff CC. Frustrating! Next I tried MG online for order, and they wouldn't even approve it. Boy this is ridiculous! Anyone else have these kind of problems. I eventually walked down to local WU at kmart and everything went thru no hassle, but is inconvenient to have to go the brick/mortar route.

The same thing recently happened to me. Only it was my bank that pushed pause on this transaction. I used MG  and gave them my bank debit card. On that day, the money was withdrawn from my bank account.  By the next day, I checked my bank account and the money was back in my account. I called my bank to see why the money was put back into my account.  They asked me what was my recent transactions, did I approve certain transactions, they ask for amounts. I told them I was sending money to a friend. I already gave my friend the MG reference number so I would very much appreciate if they can pick the money up with no problems. I ask them will the money be released. They said once my friend pick up the money, it will be released. Sometimes they're trying to protect you from fraud and hackers.

CIM is cash in the mail,ie.sending money via snail mail.
Keep reading of folk having problems with either MG or WU online, never used it online,i always go face to face, more hassle but you don't get the Spanish Inquisition.

I'm surprised they even allow it at the walk in places.
I have heard they are giving lots of trouble either way, so if you get it to be processed good.

never a problem with MG at the local CVC......going in person takes away the safeguards that you experience online or by phone.

RE: MoneyGram/Western Union and tor - Tbaronfl - 08-30-2016

I think it's because you're paying cash or in person. Therefore it eliminates CC fraud concerns that exist online.
