RE: MoneyGram/Western Union and tor - Clubb - 08-31-2016

In my country, I will never enter a bricks and mortar store to send WU or MG again. Too many questions. "How do you know this person? Do you know him personally? Have you done business with him before? What is the reason for the transaction? When was your last bowel movement?"

For instance, the many WU payment places around me, will not take payments meant for India. Online is soooooooo much easier. Never received a phone call, never received a 'decline'.

Clubb - so wierd... it's the exact opposite for me. Online, I get a message to call. And when I do it's the gestapo. In person, no problem.

I've never used the "online" approach... I always go in with a wad-0-cash and my form already filled out (I grab a handful every now and then) ... Never got questioned about anything... Then again there are only 2 WU's I know of in this po-dunk town and I guess since I've already gotten the form filled out, they must figure I know the person I sending it to...

Or maybe... Just maybe their all just happy to get the business Smile Either way, the name of my reciever changes to protect the ... Guilty Smile

I'm in a bit of a podunk town as well, maybe that's why they're a little more laid back?

Here's a link to an interesting summary and advice about using WU, MG and Walmart

Thanks Popster. I used WU at Kmart and found it to be smooth and friendly. No gestapo routine like they were online.

@Tbaronfl.......did you mean MG?
Isn't WalMart using MG and not WU?

Never heard of it or used it.

There was a time I was using western union frequently, always in person using cash at a location and was banned for no reason by Western union. The ban seemed to of lasted a year. Hopefully they don't do it to me again because I hardly use their service anymore anyhow.

This is one of the few times.....that a machine (MG) is better than a human Smile
