RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 03-12-2023 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen and Amen. RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - IceWizard - 03-13-2023 Monday, March 13
![]() Psalm 105 : 1-8 KJV 1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Today's Prayer... Dear Father in heaven, May our hearts find words to praise You together, to ask You with one accord that we may be brought into community with You.
We come to You with our whole selves, with all that we have experienced, with all that has been given to us through Your leading. For to this day You have shown us the way, guiding us through right and wrong, through the perfect and the imperfect. You have led us all to know that we belong to You. We are Yours. You are working in us to bring about what You have in mind for each one of us and for the many, many who hunger and thirst for justice and truth. Be with us through our Spirit. Touch us through the hand of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior, and we hold fast to Him so that we can praise You in His name. In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 03-13-2023 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. ![]() Mark 1 : 1-9 KJV 1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; 2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan,
confessing their sins. 6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; 7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Today's Prayer... Dear Father in heaven, Our refuge for this day and for each day to come, touch us with the finger of Your power. Be our protection and strong defense against all attacks of darkness. Where people look to You out of the darkness, let their eyes grow shining bright with the light from Your eyes. Let Your light shine within us and around us. Let Your light bring Your cause to victory, to the final great day of Jesus Christ. In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 03-14-2023 In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen. ![]() Joel 2 : 1-13 KJV 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness,
as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like,
neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. 4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. 6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: 8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. 9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. 10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: 11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Today's Prayer... Lord our God, Through the Spirit grant us community with You, we pray. Help us onward again and again, and help us grow in strength to follow what is true and good. May Your goodness and Your grace be in our hearts to help us in all practical things. Grant that wherever we live we may have something of the power in which Jesus Christ lived and suffered, in which He died and yet lives again. May the world still learn that it has a redeemer and that it belongs to Him, to the glory of Your name. In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 03-15-2023 Through the Spirit grant us community with You, we pray. ![]() Proverbs 19 : 1-9 KJV 1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. 2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. 3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord.
4 Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour. 5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. 6 Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts. 7 All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him. 8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. 9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. Today's Prayer... Dear Father in heaven, May we receive Your Spirit so that we win the victory over ourselves and over the world around us, not with our human crudeness, force, and clamor, but only through Your Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. Help each of us in our own particular situation. We all know there is much evil around us; there is much we must fight. But in Jesus’ name we want to plunge right in, right into the world, right into whatever suffering is meant for us in the midst of the evil that is not yet overcome. In Jesus’ name we go toward the great victory that will come when all who are granted Your joy will praise You with all their hearts, O Father in heaven. In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen RE: Your favorite inspirational verse/thought? - Charon - 03-16-2023 May we receive Your Spirit so that we win the victory over ourselves and over the world around us, not with our human crudeness, force, and clamor, but only through Your Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. ![]() Mark 12 : 28-36 KJV 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. 35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? 36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. Today's Prayer... Dear Father in heaven, Grant that we may come to you in the Spirit. Through your Spirit gather us and many others on earth around our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Savior of humankind. May our hearts become truly free because you deliver us from all bondage to our own natures and to the world around us. As free people may we be led safely through distress, fear, and want, through need and death. May we become happy children whom Jesus Christ has called to life, children who are not discouraged by the struggle but who fight joyfully for your kingdom until it can be revealed to all the world. In the Name of the Most Holy we pray in Jesus' Name Amen |
