Ever wonder why when you are looking to buy something online and do a search or two on it, everywhere you go you see ads for it? Thats because google tracks you, puts super cookies on your computer that sites which pay google can use. The cookies tell them what you are looking for so they can target you with ads. I try to use duckduckgo instead of google because it doesn't do that. Hi Grandote, if you haven’t already checked out ghost, check it out as an add-on to firefox, it stops all them data snatchers and allows you to set rules for different webs as to what can run and what can't. also "Bluhell firewall" kills all ads, both are real easy on resources. I was a Debian fanatic, but am running UBUNTU now and its pretty much plug and play. Im running a 2009 Asus m2n32-sli deluxe mobo, and when Microsoft put the screws to xp users i just installed Ubuntu and everything works seamlessly! Yup Linus Torvalds is my Geek hero, Gates couldn’t write a proper line of code if his life depended on it. Linus codes daily, uses his money for fun things rather than world domination. Gates gives the school kids proprietary prepacked software, and Linus feeds them source so they can use they’re minds! sorry for the rant, lol. The prospects of SUN actually developing an OS was what got me excited enough to take that java class, to bad nothing ever became of it. I always enjoy reading and discussing things with you friend, I think I learn a few things every time, be well my friend! |
