I was cooking the food the dietician recommended for me and then sitting down and staring at it. The idea of eating it made me want to turn away, no appetite whatsoever.
nick222,

Thank you, for responding to this post; I appreciate it. I must say, I'm beginning to get more excited about trying Duromine. However, I'm praying that the side effects that you've mentioned above are minor. I can do without the clenching teeth thing, and fortunately, I drink LOTS of water everyday. So, perhaps I won't experience the dry mouth thingy either. As long as it helps curb my appetite and gives me some noticeable energy, well then--I'll be good!  Big Grin Again, thanks for sharing your experience.  Wink

I haven't found a great effects with duromine as others seem to have. I'm thinking I may need to redose more often. I could go almost all day on half a US phentermine. I don't seem to get much out of the Duromine. If I take a whole one, I just feel bad.

Maybe not the old school stuff, but the same that you get in the US now.  Although, I,might get a light speedy buzz from it, it is primarily an appetite suppresant and makes you lose weight bc you aren't hungry.

You do grow a tolerance to it though, and can't keep continuously taking it or it will stop working at keeping your appetite in cbeck. In my case, I need a minimum of 2 montbs off before it works again, and mentally, you have to be in the mind set that you are ready to lose weight, otherwise it will not work.
Good luck to you.
Audrey Hepburn,

Thank you, SO much for providing me with this information! You've pretty much touched on what my main concern was, and that was; does Duromine reduce your appetite?! Also, as it relates to making you feel "speedy", well, as slow as I've been moving these days, I could stand to speed up a bit!! If you've read ALL of my posts above, I mentioned that I'm currently taking both, Adderall and Dexedrine, so, of course I WON'T take those while I'm taking the Duromine.  Rolleyes  Thanks again; I appreciate you.  Smile

The Mexican version of phentermine, also known as Fentermina, comes in 2 forms. Actxion, which is instant release and the harder to find Acxion AP, which is extended release. I prefer the AP version. Which is probably what you are looking for, but nothing will compare to Dexedrine.
Good wishes, Rumor
Hi Rumor,

Oh my goodness, I'd forgotten about the Acxion! I tried that a LONG time ago, and the only thing that it did for me-- was give me the worse migraine headache that I've EVER experienced in my life!! If I'm not mistaken, I even tried BOTH kinds. However, I'm glad to hear that you've had success in taking them. Thank you, for responding. I appreciate it! Smile

I tried duromine a few years and made me nervous and shaky, I have never used it since.

The good old days of having to take tagament to settle my stomach from the effects of adds and ritz. Yes it did make me get my school work done. But I never slept or ate. Was terrible. I love my sleep so I stopped taking them. I tried Duro as an alternative for a brief period but it made me not able to eat even more. Plus I think my body was detoxing from the amphetamines. So the transition was not plesent to say the least. After reading more about it. It's geared for weight loss but does have some uses since it did dial me to focus. Just never had it by itself so my opinion is skewed.

RE: HAS ANYONE TRIED DUROMINE?! - caramel_barbi - 03-21-2017

I just wanted to give an update on my experience thus far with Duromine. I started taking it a few days ago and it makes me have absolutely zero appetite! That's a good thing, as that's the main reason that I wanted to try it. However, unlike the "regular" Phentermine that provided me with TONS of energy, I have yet to experience that with Duromine. Perhaps, that may change over the next coming days; maybe not.  Rolleyes

At any rate, I love the way that's it's suppressing my appetite, because I'd recently been doing a great deal of "stress" eating, which has caused me to gain quite a bit of weight over the past few months. I definitely plan to continue taking this, and if I achieve the desired result (weight loss) I will take it for another month or two to help me achieve my weight loss goal.  Tongue

I just want to be careful, because it is Phentermine, afterall. Physicians recommend that, you not take these types of medications for than 3 months at a time---and then you're advised to take a break. I'll do another update in a few weeks to relay any changes, both positive or negative.  Shy

Audrey, thanks for your input, and I agree. The 6 week mark is pretty accurate, too, as that's about how long it would take for my appetite to return when using regular Phentermine. The good thing is, 6 weeks is long enough to begin to form healthier eating and exercise habits.  Rolleyes

I've tried American Phentermine, Acxion, and Duromine. I actually got the best results from the American Phentermine. But it also seemed to have more side effects (feeling "speedy", occasional headache, dry mouth). Duromine seemed to be low-key..I just didn't notice it as much. Maybe because I think the Duromine is a more "extended release" form. Also, Phentermine is 37.5mg, Acxion is 30mg, and Duromine most typically is available in 15mg or 30mg. So make sure you are comparing apples to apples in terms of milligrams. Glad the Duromine seems to be working for you!

I agree with everything that you've stated here. But, in terms of mgs, I know that Duromine is weaker than American Phentermine in terms of energy. It's working great for the appetite control, but I sure do miss the extra energy that American Phentermine provided. Would it be safe to increase the dosage to 2 capsules per day?

Hi Pallasathena,
I agree that the American is best, but impossible to find at IOPs. It used to be everywhere. However, f I asked my doc for a script she would kick me out the door before I finished asking.  Duromine works well for me, however not as quickly. And as I mentioned, you begin to get your appetite back after a shorter amount of time.

But hey, it works. I only use it to lose weight, not the speedy aspect, so it's fine by me.

Audrey,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I agree with you, as well. Boy do I miss the good ole days when American Phentermine was easily accessible on the internet. My Doctor won't give me any, either. Therefore, I'm stuck with whatever's available as long as it's safe and it works for its intended purpose.  Rolleyes

Phentermine can be found at certain IOP's on this site not to mention the SY vendors. Tolerance builds quickly along with insomnia, dry mouth, and other undesirables. But it does work for appetite suppression.

RE: HAS ANYONE TRIED DUROMINE?! - NovemberRain - 04-03-2017

Hello, germanshepherd! Smile

Thank you SO much for your post! For some reason, I didn't think to check the SY vendors. Heart

You know, it's odd but I never experienced "tolerance" in those good ol' "Phentermine" days.  And I was able to get as many as I wanted.  I also did not get insomnia.  I never did figure that one out.

And here's another weird thing: Often my sis and I would set our alarms on our day(s) off.  Then we'd take a Phentermine and go right back to bed. I will never understand this, but we slept SOOOOOO good! And, we'd wake up and think "Wow, that was a long sleep. Feels like I slept 8 hours." And we'd look at our clocks and see that only something like 15 minutes had passed! Then we'd fall asleep again, dream good dreams, wake up again as if we had the most refreshing, lonnnnnnnnnnnng sleep, glance at our clocks, and see that only 10 to 15 minutes had passed, yet again!

We did have the energy to get up and do things around the house, etc., if we wanted to.  But if we just felt like sleeping in, the Phentermine never kept us from sleeping, or even napping.  It gave us a "pleasant" sleep.  That's the only way I can describe it.  I will never, ever understand it.

It's total opposites: Phentermine gave us the most energy we ever had, and Phentermine gave us the best sleep we ever had!?!?
WHATTTTTTTTTT? Huh  But, I sure do miss that!

But I did get that dreaded dry mouth, even though I drank water and iced tea alllllllllll dayyyyyyyyyyy long, and kept it by my bed at night, too.  I did end up getting cavities, something I never got before I started Phentermine, even though I drank sooooooo many fluids, all day and in the middle of the night. Yes, they certainly do wreak havoc on the teeth.  Sad

Thanks again!  Smile
