I would try increasing the dose or better something stronger.(03-27-2017, 11:08 AM)suinr Wrote:Does it keep you awake at night?(03-27-2017, 04:49 AM)WhichBlair Wrote: These would be great starting about 12:00 pm, that's when my motor starts running down. Do they keep you at a fairly level state, can you feel the effect through the 6 or so hours? Seems like an awfully good idea... RE: Extended release caffeine - Batgirl - 03-29-2017 This thread is so helpful! I am a caffeine addict because I have to survive on little sleep. I hate the taste of coffee, black tea makes me sick to my stomach, so I rely on diet sodas and energy drinks, which are terrible for you. I will have to look into these extended release caffeine pills. RE: Extended release caffeine - suinr - 04-04-2017 (03-29-2017, 07:36 PM)Batgirl Wrote: This thread is so helpful! Nonetheless I think coffee caffeine has better quality, for me it works faster and the feeling is different but it's just and assumption. Tried looking for the Sundown pills but they are not shipped to my country, in amazon they are only available to the US, also it happens with others. It seems to me that in my country there is some kind of monopoly of the caffeine extended released pills that are sold in pharmacies, they are the only ones sold in local stores. But finally I have found one seller in amazon who ships one brand, the name is Puritan's Pride and it has 200 mg for 8 hour release. Tried them and they works great, the 8 release it a bit optimistic though. I recommend them. RE: Extended release caffeine - swissmiss - 12-29-2018 I agree with all the negatives, however I still rely on caffeine in some way, shape or form to plow through a heavy schedule. I have tried the Red Line energy drink from Wally World. Be sure that you read the directions. I'm usually NOT the best at reading the dosage directions, but I'm glad I followed these. Extended energy....it checked the box on that for me. Nothing worse than feeling defeated by a workload when you are already feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. RE: Extended release caffeine - folken - 12-29-2018 While this information on caffeine slow release pills is certainly welcome ( I had no idea these existed ); all these energy drinks and caffeine pills or just straight coffee/tea, need to be taken keeping in mind the recommended max dose per day is in the neighborhood of 400mg. Those with heart/circulatory conditions need to be extra cautious........................ Those with anxiety/ insomnia also need to keep the maximum in mind-- look up the OD symptoms for caffeine and if you feel any of these symptoms cut back, There is an old 'wife's' tale of coffee to help you drive, after you have imbibed in alcohol - at best you are an awake drunk.... ![]() ...........................stay informed....stay safe.................JMHO.....................Folken |
