Also on the WEDINOS website, they have a periodic newsletter. That sometimes contains other details or extra tests e.g. only 1/3 pills sold as di@zepam in the UK (on the street) containing said ingredient, and they did some testing about a year back on the strength of MSJs (at the time when they contained diaz, but were ridiculously variable in strength).

Quick Update RE wedinos

they are making some updates so won't be posting results for the moment, but don't let it stop anyone from using them they will post results as soon as there back so please send but they are a little behind and will either post results all at once or catch up as they are about a month behind.

Will update any more info that comes.

Ah Quick Fix is a long time friend of this forum and its members. Esp to me. They are always appreciated. Tis nice for you to give credit where it is due. QF will like that.

Can definitely recommend wedinos. Great, free, anonymous service. Unfortunately there's about a 2 month delay for results at the moment. Today, 17th Nov they are just posting results for tests done on 25th Sept. Hopefully they'll catch up soon and get back to normal service.

I'd be interested to hear others experience of using Wedinos. Does everyone feel the results are reliable / accurate? Or has anyone experienced mistakes / errors that made them doubt the results?

Personally, I've always trusted the results, but another user commented in a different thread:

"with wedinos id be careful now to 100 % believe . i used to rely on them and 99 % the item is what its supposed to be - but i dont think they are true with all the results on many items . i also think theres an agenda to publish the wrong description to stop folk buying such items . i had a little thing a bit back that made me think that ( 2 tabs from same box - 2 different results . 1 was correct ) ."

I'd be interested to hear what others think.

There must some error rate... With the number of samples they test there's got to be a little bit of human error e.g. accidental contamination of a sample, or just getting two samples muddled. They are professionals so I'd like to think their error rate is low, but I doubt it is zero.

A project like WEDINOS will have been through at least one ethics committee and deception is incredibly hard to get approved - it usually means some T&Cs where you consent to the possibility of being deceived. If it has any NHS connection, even as minor as advertising in GP waiting rooms, or details in a hospital, or funding, then it would have also been through IRAS (a really tight ethics committee for the NHS). I think it's incredibly unlikely that they'd have ethical approval to mislead people. I can't prove that, but over the years I've had a lot of dealings with ethics committees and they are VERY cautious about what they allow.

I think it's sensible not to take everything at face value, but in this case I'm 99% sure they report honestly but with the occasional error.

Yeah I agree with you both. I've never had any reason to doubt them, so was quite surprised by that comment from another user and just wanted to see what the general consensus was. I definitely encourage people to use Wedinos.
