RE: Green New Deal - folken - 02-23-2019 The New Green Deal Healthcare for all Free College education Minimum wage $15 These and others << yeah ya know there is more to come right? >> are what the Dems are promising for 2020 Do not get too excited because the Dems out there promising the moon, are like someone building sand castles by the sea shore.......gone with the next tide With Mr. T viewed as vulnerable in 2020, every card carrying Dem wants to be run in 2020; and will have to try and clamor for your attention << & $$ >> Stay calm and carry on folks.............nothing to see here yet......... Folken RE: Green New Deal - tommy09 - 02-23-2019 To get it out of the way, I am a Democrat. My party is going a little nuts. But the Republicans are certifiable. They are not the Republican Party my Grandpa used to vote for. I’m pretty moderate and would like to be able to consider voting for either party. But the GOP is only looking out for rich folks. But to win, you have to appeal to whomever you can. If Trump taught us anything, it’s that. And the rich will tolerate it if it means more $ in their accts. I get where they’re coming from. And it does feel like the Democrats are going to blow it. These young Dems need to take a seat! And shut it. And let the old timers get us thru this. I don’t like the extremism that the repubs and the young dems are embracing. I feel like America works because we’ve always given credence to the other side. It takes guts to do that. RE: Green New Deal - thepianist - 02-24-2019 Tell me, Tommy, the ‘party’ and supporters of the ONE in charge that has actually appointed members to tackle the influx of F coming through the south are certifiable? I agree with your opinion regarding this new wave of socialism being the answer, but it sounds to me like you’ve been looking through one lense for too long. FYI the crackdown on docs and medicine is not coming from just one side. There’s a much larger agenda regarding that. Edit: I’m far from rich. Barely middle class. Don’t be a hammer looking at everything as a nail. RE: Green New Deal - tommy09 - 02-25-2019 Yeah I hear you. I usually don’t get around to posting anything until later at night when I get kinda loose throwing opinions around. Not the best way to handle politics. And I definitely agree that the phony war on drugs is not from one side. It’s easy political fodder to say I’m gonna be tough on drugs. Hard to argue against that, and then they can pass a law that has barely been thought through... people suffer, and abuse stays about the same. RE: Green New Deal - Nobleone - 02-25-2019 What ever color deal it turns out to be everyone needs to learn to get along and be Nice to one another .
