My name is obviously not really Kim though. ![]() (02-20-2023, 12:07 PM)IceWizard Wrote:Ok, sorry IW. I was going by the User CP, which has never gone over 3 per day. I guess it's measured differently. I will stick to good old-fashioned counting in future and I'll have to be a bit rude and ignore people's welcomes if I am past 4 or have nothing interesting or relevant to say in response. It feels so unnatural, being British, but I do understand your rules and why you have them. Take care. I'll also use this post to thank @Grovedale for the welcome. Thanks very much! See you around. RE: Hi from the uk - Skink - 02-21-2023 I've been on forums since 1998 and when ever a lady named Kim posts all the male ego's comes out,,, including mine... You solved your dilemma by grouping posts,,, I believe you can reply to your own posts and that would not count as a post RE: Hi from the uk - kimberley - 02-21-2023 (02-21-2023, 06:21 PM)Skink Wrote: I've been on forums since 1998 and when ever a lady named Kim posts all the male ego's comes out,,, including mine... Thanks for the tips. It's super-funny because my name isn't even Kim. I've used that as an alias since I was a teenager and got banned from talking to my boyfriend by his parents. I had to phone up and say I was "Kim" rather than my real name. I chose that name as I was into the Porno For Pyros song "Kimberley Austin" at the time, lol. Now it's just my go-to for forums and anywhere else I don't want to use my real name.

Also interesting: none of that is true. Just sounded funny. My nickname comes from the Canadian wrestler “The Green Bastard”. But I’m big. I could explain it more, but I would just look more silly. Yes, because obviously someone who goes around calling themselves TheBigGreenBastard doesn't want to look silly. Honestly, when I read your name, I pictured the guy who sells canned vegetables - only he's really mean.

You are appreciated. Have a fab day! RE: Hi from the uk - TheBigGreenBastard - 02-24-2023 In hindsight I would probably change my name to “Green Bastard”. But alas. What’s done is done I suppose. I concur. Thank you Charon and all the mods who pour themselves into this place! We are blessed by your service! RE: Hi from the uk - happyvibe - 02-25-2023 I too would change my name. “Happy vibe” is not an accurate picture of me all the time! Maybe “ ball of nerves” should have been my name :-) |
