RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - folken - 01-02-2019 Luke 6 27:31 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. One of the hardest verses to come to accept. Struggle with this one everyday............................Folken RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - willie33 - 01-03-2019 Deuteronomy Chapter 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Therefore we will not fear…” sending up prayers..............Folken RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - IceWizard - 01-09-2019 John 3 - 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - folken - 01-09-2019 Luke 12:25-26 25:Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[a]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Worry, worry, worry- we all do it- money, family, health, the future. If we could just trust that the future is taken care of, we can then concentrate on the now/today/this moment...………….not easy but necessary. ……………………….one of my personal struggles...………………….. Due have an absolutely fantastic day if you choose to folks! < you do have a choice to right? > ;0)~ Folken RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - IceWizard - 01-09-2019 ::::Jesus was talking to a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:::: John 3 : 3 - 7 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - willie33 - 01-09-2019 Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. RE: Your fav Bible inspirational verse - IceWizard - 01-10-2019 Matthew 5 : 1 - 12 1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. |
