I myself would be too nervous to have --- amount come, always -- amount.

I've chatted with customs once (I wanted to know the rules/laws after I received my first and only LL). They explained it like this: It's against the law, but having a '90 day supply' is like going 5mph over the speed limit...you're breaking the law but odds are you're not going to get pulled over for doing it. In other words, this is politics as usual.

RE: How many pills is it "safe" to include in one order? - Back2Good - 04-30-2016

I've had that discussion myself with a friend in Metairie years ago who'd just finished a two year stretch, his lawyer explained it to him this way: "Look, son, I've been doing these cases for 20 years now, and the one thing that the defense can't figure is what a "90-day supply" is.  The D*A doesn't define a tablet, or a capsule, or a ml. of liquid as a "dose", they define it as a "unit" - For example, if the standard dosage unit for, say, Adderall is 20g, then every 30mg tablet you buy counts as a unit and a half".  In my buddy's case, he really got screwed - He bought a 1000 count "tub" of 5mg British Dispensary Anabol, but the prosecutor said they'd probably have let that slide, as those tubs are  pretty much the smallest order you can make if you want real Dianabol - Loosely packed tabs in bags are fakes most of the time, so they tend to just send LLs when they find those.  Where he got screwed was in ordering 5 vials of a "super-test" mix that was composed of 400mg of Testosterone per 1ml., and the definition (at that time, at least - who knows what it is now) of a unit of testosterone was 200mg per 1 ml.  So they calculated the total units of Testosterone at 20 units per vial rather than 10 units per vial, and those 100 units, plus the 250 units they calculated the tub of Anabol at (standard dosage on that one is 4 tabs per day, so 1000 / 4 came out to 250 units) came out to 300 units - 100 units or less is where they generally draw the line.  So that got him a possession with intent, not just a simple possession, he's lucky he had a 100% clean record before that bust, and they counted trial time towards time served, and he was paroled early for good behavior.

That's the problem with the 90-day rule - The prosecutor decides what a 90-day supply is, you don't, and they play fast and loose with those guidelines.  In the end, if they are interested in you, they are going to get you, there's no equation you can come with that will get you off the hook.

The 90 day supply, according to my lawyer, is for "prescribed" drugs. If you don't have a script it automatically doesn't apply to you.

Look, selfless-desires, I get it: You insist on having the last word on every subject that I touch upon.  If I just concede that "oh, that selfless-desires, he's possessed of a far superior intellect than mine", will you quit thread stalking me?

Sorry, but we've locked horns twice now because you "misunderstood" something I wrote, for someone as smart as you are, I find that hard to believe.  You clearly have some sort of issue with me, but if you're not just going to come straight out and tell me what it is, at least drop the passive-aggressive hero in a shining suit of armor act - I'm far too old too care whether you or anyone else care for me or what I write, and I have no interest whatsoever in playing "who's smarter" on an IOP forum with you.

It's probably best for both of us if we just ignore one another.  Shake on it?

I was just adding my anecdotal 2 cents. No reason to get all up in a bind. I'm sorry if that post came across as getting the last word as it doesn't seem to read that way. It was just a statement.

This is the second time you've gotten extremely defensive over something that was not needing defending. We are interpreting conversations via a very analog system and its hard to get expressions and proper points across as a result.

If a message of mine seemed harsh or mean in any way I'm sorry but we all are friends here, or so I would hope.

Really like what you had quoted above from USPS though great information!

The Constitution?  That old thing?  Well, some smart liberal cookie (liberals LOVE regulation) started a whispering campaign to the effect of "Hey, that old thing was written by guys who have been dead for hundreds of years, society has changed, and while some of what's in it is good, it really should be considered a "living document", open to interpretation by the reader that reinforces their point of view" - And only then pointed to righteously as the basis of an argument.

This idea has been promulgated by liberal law professors for so long, during their long march through the institutions, that it is now accepted as fact.

2004: "Let me introduce you to this nice fellow, visiting professor of Constitutional law at UC, just a wonderful young man..."

2009: "Did the president just completely ignore the rules regarding the separation of powers set out in the Constitution?  What, the legislative and judicial branches can just stay home now, he's "got this"?"

2012: "The heck did he just say about having a pen and a phone?  And we're just going to allow this?

2016: "Please, O sweet meteor of death (SMOD), come for us soon - There's another Clinton in the oval office and MAN does she have a chip on her shoulder."

Well y'all I must tell you all this worry is for nothing.. Unless it's like your 10th time being seized. These customs workers have so much volume, and are so short handed, unless they're tipped somehow, no way the letter gets seized. Basically, a few hundred chips, even a thousand, really not a big deal..
Also, if you mean to tell me that if you receive a letter, then LE is at your door. They have zero. How do they prove the letter was meant for you or anyone. I've never been worried once, it's showed every time but once. That was a lot of years ago. Basically, the bottom line is, LE would be hard pressed to show sufficient evidence the letter was meant for you. It's just too much work for too little reward I suppose.
This actually happened one time to me, I came home from work, envelope in the mail. No return address, just mine, inside was ten pages of blank printer paper folded up. I opened it, and all the way inside the pages was one OC 80 taped to the paper. Still have zero idea to this day who it was. So, my point is, it would be very hard to pin anything on the receiver, as anyone could send whatever they wanted to ppl they don't care for, then try to get them in trouble.
I've always had the same view on that matter, unless you're doin this w serious things, there really is no interest, besides the sweeps they do every once in awhile. Nobody is dumb enough to actually call the # on the LL, or even worse, go pick it up at customs. If that happens, it's certainly your fault.

Hope all are safe,
Love ya D.
B in touch soon
