RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - Lockes - 09-07-2017 I was given 100mg of Seroquel to help with sleep. It worked for awhile then I saw blood on the sheets and pillow. I asked the the doctor and and his response was some patients scratch a lot during deep sleep and I must be one of them. It was a strange looking sight......so I stopped cold turkey, not a smart move but I'm much happier now : ) Lockes Hope everyone is doing fine today : ) RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - sam81 - 09-23-2017 I have had a very bad experience with Seroquel It is good for sleeping but its side effects are very strong I would recommend not using it at all RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - MoonChild - 09-23-2017 Seroquel is amazing for sleep. Side effects are terrible. Aprazolam actually gives me energy, so long as i take a light dose anyway. Anymore than a mg and im done. Of course i dont take daily. Sometimes I just knock right out - while holding a glass of Snapple in my hands and then wake up - and pour it all over me. I also seem to be spacier during the day, and having a hard time making simple decisions. This is a alot dose and has damage to your health Be careful, my friend RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - graham3735 - 10-04-2017 I was put on 600mg of seroquil and was a zombie during the day. And the restless leg syndrome was terrible. No thanks I'll stick with the alps RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - TruckKing1268 - 10-14-2017 As others have said Seroquil works well but has some awful side affects, I don't think Xanax is a better option though IMO. I have had similar side effects with Xanax, not quite as groggy but still a terrible hard time to wake up and just generally getting started in the morning. Would you not try something like ambien or a natural alternatives. I know that is not exactly what this forum is here for, but I have had great results with natural remedies, at least for sleep. The problem with the Xanax is stopping it. It's not a drug which is easy to stop. If one was to use a benzo, Xanax would not be the one for sleep. I would take midazolam anyday over Xanax because Xanax withdrawals are so much worse than midazolam withdrawal. RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - Danny - 11-05-2017 Seroquel for me would make me drowsy but unable to sleep with a tense feeling in my mind and then when i did go to sleep it would be for to long and still feeling groggy. Plus when I took it it would dry my eyes and make them shockingly red as if I had smoked something. I just couldn't tolerate them. I just through them away along with the other crap like geodon and lamictal away. What were those docs thinking. I was just complaining of depression and anxiety, and that's what they put me on. I would had rather stay home depressed than be able able to go out in public feeling like they made me feel. Terrible. RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - Chantilly - 11-06-2017 Xanax, although has sedative properties, isnt designed to induce sleep. Unless the reason behind your sleeplessness is anxiety (like you have a big presentation the next day), I wouldn't recommend it. Only in select situations, but please, xanax use can be a slippery slope Seroquel is heavily sedative., and IS NOT recreational. It knocks people on their asses, but too high a dose and you'll be a zombie for the next day. Also it has nasty side effects like possible weight gain. Maybe it works in small doses, but personally i feel too groggy in the morning. RE: Seroquel vs Alprazolam for sleep - thepianist - 12-07-2017 I've always taken Xanax for sleep. The half life isn't too long and the drowsiness it induces puts me right out. After coffee in the morning I'm good to go. Halcion is another good one. |
