RE: Sad Beyond Words - Roses - 12-22-2017

Thank you so much Harley for writing, I appreciate it.

It has been 6 months since my dad died & it hasn't gotten any easier to deal with. I don't cry like I did but it feels like my heart is broken. In some ways it feels like it happened yesterday yet the time has dragged somewhat.

I've been depressed but I am trying not to be since my dad wouldn't want this. He was always worried about my depression & he was so good to talk to about it.

I'm hoping that I'll feel better after these holidays have passed. I miss him so much since he always made a fuss over the food at holidays. He always bought far too much & we joke about it. This has been real hard since Thanksgiving. I look forward to spring so I'm hopeful that I will get out of my blue funk soon.

Thanks again Harley for your lovely words.

Hi Roses
when the pain of grief hits you
Just remember, your dad died in a peaceful manner surrounded by his loved ones and knowing that he was loved,
He want you to cherish the memories, and to be happy, I know this is easier said than done and you maybe feeling to raw, but these feelings pass, and when those come back again, Think about the Positive things and remember your dad would not want you to mourn for him, but to move on and make the most of this precious life.

All the best to you xxx

Roses,

Know you are in my prayers and thoughts. The grieving process takes time just let it happen. It doesn't make it any easier, just know your Dad is resting peaceful now.

XOXO

Well I got through the holidays but I have to say I'm glad they are over. It was hard because everyone is supposed to b e so happy yet I was feeling real bad. Now at least I can look forward to spring & being out in my garden , where I feel closest to my dad.

Happy New Year everyone....

I lost my grandfather recently, and he was a father to me as my real father was gone before I could even walk.  It took me forever to get to the point where I could even talk about his accomplishments in life.  But I promise, you will get there, and the healing becomes easier every day after that.
