Consumer Affairs News - EasyDoesit - 10-31-2015

This is news to me but supposedly,

The USPS has a program called Mail Isolation Control, and Tracking Program, which means it photographs and keeps records of the labeling information on ALL envelopes and packages sent through the mail, on behalf of American LE" The article goes onto to explain the database was broken into and 800,000 employees records were stolen by a foreign government last November, along with every single envelope and package sent through the U.S. mail since 2001.

I did not think they had the resources or the space this would consume, it would be warehouses full of servers, if it was true, one would think? I found it on my mobile and opened on WOT web of trust, which is a plug in that allows millions of people to rate websites reputations where dark green is excellent and red is very poor maybe malware, and then there is a dark green through red rating for how suitable for children. This article is dark green on web of trust.

How legitimate do you think this article is, as I have always been told, and from what I have seen it would be almost impossible due to the shear volume to do as this article claims??

They have been photographing both sides of all mail for years now. Storage is cheaper and smaller than ever before. You should assume nothing is ever deleted or thrown away as far as information. They are putting out more and more license plate readers which make a permanent record of where that car was at what time. Facial recognition is coming, try changing your hair style now and then, wearing sunglasses in public, etc. Guys can grow a beard or mustache or cut it off. There are types of theatrical makeup that make your face look different, if you want to go that far.

There is an article speaking about having as much anonymity as possible in well known newspaper. Having a email that is 3 emails removed from you, with a fake Fb, social media accounts. There is a small town out here that has more video cameras then almost any town/city per person. It is getting bad with the 4 cameras on cars and now that we know they can listen to any phone call, email, text, retrieve old mail, it is out of hand out of hand, with very little privacy. I get using a VPN or Tor for safety, but to have to change appearances seems as though those things would be reserved for our forward deployed risking there necks.

It's getting to be surveillance on steroids.
I watch what goes on in the UK. We usually follow what they do and lord knows they have cameras everywhere you look.
Privacy is going the way of the dinosaurs. But, as long as we do nothing to fight against it, it will only get worse. Conspiracy theories are becoming conspiracy facts. If more people would have listened to those in the know that were trying to tell us what was coming, maybe we could have tried to stop it. It's unfortunate that too many people listened to the government telling us that these were all conspiracy theories started by crazy people.
This country is no longer free and hasn't been for quite awhile. They tell us America is a free country, but it's only an illusion they create.

Reminds me of a quote I heard somewhere. "The best slave is the one who THINKS he's free".

Oh Kdizz, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

real mail does not work like they say it will so I speak from experience

RE: Consumer Affairs News - snappy71 - 11-09-2015

it is very disturbing how we are losing our freedom to gov't and most don't even realize it's happening...in my small town of less that 10k pop., the local LE have now mounted cameras on their cars that photograph the license plates of every car that that passes by them....when asked what they do with all that info they replied that if its an expired or illegal plate they go after them, otherwise it's all stored in a database...and for how long? the reply was, no time limit....that said, nothing at all would surprise me at what our gov't (or agencies of) are capable of doing

Seriously, knowing my phone can track me even when I need to stop to take a pee is a bit more intrusive to me than my mail.

I have heard that with satellites they can actually see into your home. Also, the new "smart meters" that are now on most homes, in place of the old electricity meters can even tell what room you're in and what appliances or other electronics you are using at that time. They know EVERYTHING.

But really, we have no one to blame but ourselves for allowing these things to happen. When we don't pay attention and listen to people that are trying to warn of what they're doing behind our backs, we get totally taken over. There is nothing free or private in this "free" country. Nothing.

Even worse is in the UK GCHQ (The listening Post for MI5/6) have been harvesting email comms of US citizen and passing it on to your myriad of govt agencies (legally they contend)

Just to make sure and include all UK nationals the home secretaty has this week started legislation which will require all email providers to keep details for min 12 mths!

George Orwell couldn't have dreamt it up!
The 'special relationship' hey !!!!

Orwell didn't dream it up. He was a part of this clan that's trying to take control of everything and wrote his book which sounded "out there". That's the thing with these people. They tell us what they're doing in books and movies. You just have to be able to read between the lines. What sounds like sci-fi or impossible really isn't. They put it all out there in front of us. Things are soooo much more advanced than they let us know.
