Caucus process - Spanky - 01-30-2016

Close to Iowa contest, I do with they could simplify the caucus process.  A I keep hearing, it is lengthy and can even take more that one trip to the caucussing area.  Like most I think, I've never caucused, just cussed.

Crows caw, we cuss. Put it together and you have a caucus.

The media is in a frenzy of fear that either the hag, that is to say hillary, will self destruct via emails and other scandals which the media is trying hard to cover up. Or, that sanders might win the nomination. Either would upset the applecart, the crooked business as usual applecart that someone needs to overturn right away.

They are deathly afraid of a trump victory which increasingly looks possible. Even more so if hill falls by the wayside. Bernie who he sports the magic D that makes the media likes, is a firebrand radical and that does not equal business as usual so they don't want him. A trump - sanders matchup would be my dream and the media and rich people's nightmare.

I'm thinking if hitlery, ooops I spelled it wrong, falls apart then they will try to draft biden. But if hill survives much longer biden won't have time to do much campaigning. The establishment would be happy with either jeb or hill but jeb is so far back they laugh at him. He is back among fiona, paul, etc. Hill is the establishments best hope to keep corruption alive another 4 - 8 years but she is no shoe in. In polls she runs about even with trump or within margin of error. Even if she is not indicted she may not get there. A trump - cruz ticket might be hard to beat but I still like trump - oprah for all the demographics it will pick up.

So to sum it up, we do have finally a real chance for change but look for the bad guys to try and take it away from us.

Now Grandote, the powers that be are not about to let in anyone that will try to derail their plans like JFK was trying to do. It's all a rigged game and they will make sure that we get who THEY want.
It doesn't really matter who you like or what they say they will do. They lie and tell us anything they think we want to hear. How many presidents have promised to do things if elected and then forget all of their promises?

Anyone that thinks we have a say in elections, is only kidding themselves. Sad but true.

RE: Caucus process - Grandote - 01-31-2016

Cricket, I tend toward the fatalistic attitude very often myself. However, meekly accepting a crooked govt is not the way to go. JFK was killed mostly because he pissed off the wrong people but what you say is true too.

"How many presidents have promised to do things if elected and then forget all of their promises?"

The current occupant didn't just forget, he deliberately did the opposite. "most transparent administration ever" lol at that whopper of a lie. Then of course if you like your doctor and your plan... so on and so on. He made a feeble gesture at a few of the promises and then gave up and said the mean old gop wouldn't let him do it. But when it came to doing the bidding of the rich folk who really give the orders, he didn't just make a wimpy attempt, he made sure it happened and it was always against the people, not to help them.

Thats why I have hopes it will be trump in nov. I'm sure he is aware of the possibility of assassination, he is no fool. Even sanders would be better. I prefer an honest fool to a genius of a crook.

Iowa caucus:  Dems

I don't know who saw the report that three of the candidate votes were decided on a "coin" toss at the caucussing posts.  The caucussing spots look like big unruly square dances, and at three spots, delegate--for one delegate--was at a stalemate.  The coin toss was called an "archaic" rule by the talking heads, but apparently legit.  So, three places the coin was tossed, and Hillary won all three.  If the coin had landed on the other side, each time the delegate would have gone to Sanders.  There is video of it, not a rumor.  I guess that's one way around the rigged economic oligarchy.

From a European perspective the caucus process seems quite unusual. It looks like by going earlier, some states have more sway over who ends up running for president. Is that correct and, if so, does that worry you? Is this separate to the interests of the establishment being protected, or part of that process?

I'm used to parliamentary democracy which works in a very different way.

I see Rubio suffered a glitch in The Matrix:

RE: Caucus process - Grandote - 02-08-2016

The crooks and creeps keep trying to rig the process to keep corruption alive. Hillary being the epitomy of corruption and winning 3 coin tosses is a bit suspicious, maybe a 2 headed coin? Trump won as many delegates as rubio and 1 less than cruz but the idiots in the media try to tell us trump is finished and rubio is a rising star. If they can't get crooked jeb they will settle for crooked rubio. The media in cahoots with the uber rich who control things, hate outsiders like trump, sanders and cruz. They will torpedo them any way they can.

Speaking of crooked, obama seems to have accepted the payoff to not charge hill for any of her many obvious crimes vis a vis the email server scandal. They say senior officials in the justice dept will resign if she is not indicted. They better start working on their resumes, the fix is in. The media is running "stories" trying to excuse her. They ran a "news story" about the so called fact that 2 former sec of state used email. Apparently they did not receive classified info on them but that didn't make its way into the "news story". Then they decided not to punish petaeus further, so I assume that paves the way to give a free pass to hill. Petraeus got the sack and lost his carreer over material that was only sensitive, the lowest classification. Hill had secret, top secret and above top secret info on her unsecured server and will walk scott free and able to continue her run at the presidency. I shudder to think she might get in. Anyone but her, jeb or rubio.

RE: Caucus process - BoomerB - 02-10-2016

I have a thousand mg of ksalol for anyone who can explain to me in average IQ terms how either of these bullshit mutual masturbation exercises actually works. Its not the same for both sides- i remember when joe mama was being elected regular sxhmoes didn't count, you needed the Super Delegates. Repub process equally stupid i have no doubt.

NO ONE gets the chance for winning an office higher than like town council without money, and even Richy rich bitches that can afford to politicize don't use personal funds. State senate, real senate- all bought and paid for through sketchy finance and unholy alliances (i'll vote for your med mj bill so long as you support my Mandatory Castration for Dope Junkies proposal).

Because I am a gun guy i get accused of being a right wing looney (u should see my twitter fans jesus if i cared i would tell them how repulsive their opinion s are, but they like me for whatever reason. One bitch changed her name to lucy90(defundPlannedParenthood) ((not actual name)).

I am against this whole system we have. The church had 2000 years to figure out complete control- didja know that for the forst 400 years after Jesus priests could fuck? Well they could marry i assume that's part of the deal.
But Pope Butthurt the Altar Boy decided that the church was losing too much money, property, and anything valuable to the heirs of the clergy when they died. So because the richest bastards in the world can't part with a pittance, you have altar boys doubling as rent boys cuz the church refused to give up meager land holdings and poverty amounts of cash.

But i digress, government is the one suckin us dry. Maybe in 1776 they meant well but the whole securities industry (one thing i admit totally baffles me) has destroyed lives on a major scale over the years. And they keep fucking us to keep the system going. The system who's whole purpose is to fuck us subtly siphoning money from poor to captains of industry (although id love President Trump if for no other reason than he supports my Mad Max vision of the future).

Ok so i hate repubes- we need MORE abortion, we can't feed the ppl already here and i sure as fuck don't want more competition for dwindling resources. Climate change is real even if u call it global warming it still at heart just means the climate is way fucked up from what it should be- warm or cool.

I hate democraps too, not because of their position on stuff but because they perpetuate, manipulate, and profit from their job... Corruption and incompetence are bipartisan issues

RE: Caucus process - JimboS - 02-13-2016

I think it is funny for the Dems to vote, there is no secret vote. You go to a gym and choose sides and people frequently call their friends to come over to one group or another, switching sides back and forth. Did I see this right??

RE: Caucus process - Revolution - 02-20-2016

Barq, that was very creative loved it. I'm enjoying the circus, honestly, but I don't believe there should be an electoral college in this day and age. And not one candidate ever brings it up. Because then they may not be able to figure out who''s ahead until we all vote.

And I don't like to bash people, but there are a few clowns running, and that's all I'm going to say. CNN''s ratings must be thru the roof.
