Fed Ex - Slick - 10-06-2016 Have documents coming via F.E. Has been 'in transit' too long. I called - got a return call that it is 'lost'. They will look for it. Was asked what the documents were and, of course, "jewelry beads with instructions" Do they conduct their own customs inspections? First time for me on this. Thanks for any input. I believe as a privet carrier they have the right to inspect the contents without any warrant! if they did I don't know what they would do from there but I will say that know of anybody that has had their books inspected by FedX I hope they find your package soon and it arrives undamaged! please keep us informed RE: Fed Ex - Cricket - 10-06-2016 (10-06-2016, 12:28 PM)Slick Wrote: Have documents coming via F.E. Good morning Slick, I hope you are feelin' better today. This FE problem is the icing on the cake for you at this time. A question tho. Does your tracking show delivered, but you didn't receive it, or does it just say lost? Awhile back I had a package that showed it was delivered, but was not at my door. I contacted them about it and they were trying to figure out what happened. A couple of hrs. later, one of my neighbors came to my door with the package in hand. Seems the driver did deliver, but to the wrong address. I was sooo thankful it was found and I didn't have to answer any questions by FE about what it was. That would have been bad. This may not be the problem with your package, but you never know. I hope it's located very soon for you and problem solved quickly. I know this reply probably won't be of help to you, but IF tracking says delivered and you don't have it, this could be a reason why. It's so aggravating to pay their fees and have them drop the ball. The delivery business has been the pits lately. Things like this always seem to happen when you don't need more problems and hassle. I'm still saying prayers for you on your recent sorrow and will now add in a prayer you get your package very soon. Try to have a nice day and don't let the stress get you down even more. Things always have a way of working out. Take care my friend Cricket RE: Fed Ex - Slick - 10-06-2016 Thank you for the prayers Cricket! The tracking is stuck on 'In Transit' . The customer service person I spoke to says it is 'lost'. So I wait. Yes, this is the last thing I need right now - when it rains.................. Slick RE: Fed Ex - Charon - 10-06-2016 I am sorry, slick. I know it could really help u to have ur meds. Hold on for us, my friend. RE: Fed Ex - MoJim - 10-06-2016 If your tracking info says "in transit" and it has been way overdue, then indeed it is either lost/stolen or stuck at the clerks desk for various reasons. Bad address's will hold it up as well as damaged packages. If it's damaged and they can see the contents that doesn't automatically mean they will turn it over to the PD. For all they know they are vitamins, if they are unmarked, and they will retape it and send it on it's way. Packages that are emitting a pungent odor will usually raise a red flag and be subject to more scrutiny. Occasionally letters and packets umm get stuck in the conveyor system and get mangled. How long has it been stuck in transit? Yes, private carriers like FedX, UPS, DHL etc. all have the right to open and inspect parcels/letters in their system without a warrant. Even if they open it and it is an ill3gal item, they may very well send it on it way. Many times they just don't want to deal with it. It's like playing hot potatoes or see no evil, speak no evil. Don't give up hope, it wouldn't surprise me if it shows up in the near future. I'm sure your'e already doing this, but keep an eye on the tracking progress and when it says "out for delivery" then it's on the truck and on it's way to your door. "In transit" usually means it is somewhere between the shipper and your local FedX hub. If it arrived at your local hub it still would have gotten an arrival scan when it was unloaded from the trailer. If it is an international parcel, then of course it would have gone through customs at some point. If it is a domestic shipment, then there is no customs involved. Don't get stressed over this. These companies would rather not deal with these issues at all, because they have thousands of other packages to deliver. Sorry for the long winded response. I just got up and had my...coffee. RE: Fed Ex - Slick - 10-06-2016 Thanks MoJim. It is 'in transit' since Saturday. With NO Pending delivery date. Basically it is lost. I am watching the tracking. Customer service says they are looking for it. So - who knows. Slick RE: Fed Ex - Stripers - 10-06-2016 I'm sorry to hear about it this Slick. Indeed Fedex is private so they don't need a warrant to search mail like USPS does. I don't have much experience with Fedex, so I can't give much more advice than that. I, too pray for you and your package. It seems this would be a really good time to cash in on the good karma you bring. RE: Fed Ex - Grandote - 10-07-2016 I will not use fedex if I have any choice in the matter. I ordered some silver bullion coins last year off of ebay when silver was around 14 per oz. 2 packages of coins were marked "delivered" and I did not get them. I called fedex and used the website. They basically blew me off. I was not allowed to ask the driver questions, nothing. Once they say its delivered you have no recourse. I started looking around and went down the block. I went up to a house, looked in the corner of their porch and saw a couple fedex boxes. Just out of curiosity I looked at the 'to' name and it was me! The people weren't home, hopefully they would have returned them but it was hundreds of dollars worth of silver just carelessly left at the wrong door. The address was posted in front but the driver didn't seem to care A few days later I got the rest of my shipments and this time they brought it to the right house. I gave her a piece of my mind, didn't even get an apology of course let alone explanation. USPS is not perfect but they can't just open packages if they feel like it and I've had better results with them. PS, silver is now around 19. RE: Fed Ex - Slick - 10-07-2016 Thanks Stripers and Grandote! I am keeping my eye on the tracking and waiting for a call back as to the findings concerning it being 'lost', however I do not anticipate receipt! I had no choice in the manner of delivery and apparently most documents have made it thru, some with a longer wait time than others. I am glad you found your package Grandote!! Nice profit!! Thank you for the prayer Stripers!! Slick |
