Thought Obama would have one of his teaching moments! - Kadiddlehopper - 11-21-2016

The Economic summit in Peru was just another place for Obama to beat on the Republicans for a win. What ever happened to the fact that those of us in the USA are ONE. Each side wins some and looses some. We have lost for 8 yrs now and wanted to give the other side a chance. All we can do is pick a person who tells us what we want to hear and go with it. Then again Obama decides to bash on Trump and tell the world he (Obama) is going to just take a vacation, sit back and watch. Never trying to bolster the USA. " Just sayin" Cool

For a president to criticize his country while abroad approaches treason.

He does it a lot and seems to enjoy it.  He should remember that this great land and its people funded an excessive amount of golf and vacations during his two terms.

Perhaps everyone would be better off if he remained outside our borders, once they are re-established by the new administration.

Instead of him criticizing our country, why didn't he do something to make it better? What change did he even do except for giving us his wonderful (NOT) Obama care.

What we the taxpayers should do is give him a one way ticket to the country of his choice. That, I wouldn't mind paying for. Big Grin

I don't know what the future holds with Trump at the helm, but I fear not much will change. They can make all the promises in the world to us, but until they are sworn in and told the way things are gonna go, promises are quickly forgotten.

I pray I'm wrong and that he actually does help this country get back on track, but time will tell.

See that the Natives are still being brutalised over at Standing Rock, how many of them died in the mass genocide?Must be really proud of their country those cops, state troopers causing pain, and president elect has said nothing, maybe cos he has money invested in the same company building the oil pipe line, time all politicians were not allowed to have any involvement with outside interests, what a sorry site it was seeing those folks getting hurt trying to protect their own lands.

Arms being raised at a Trump meeting, apt.

I found that very worrying.

Read that the oil pipeline in North Dakota is not going to be put under the river,a victory for the people.

Wonder what will happen next seeing as Herr Trump has money invested in the company building the pipeline.

Herr Trump wants Nigel Farage to be the uk ambassador in the US,the guy aint even an mp in the uk nevermind being part of the nasty party government we have,i would welcome Farage being sent to the US and never allowed back, smarmy little low life racist dog.(sorry dogs are nice>)

I'm very glad that Hilary lost, but I worry about many of Trumps choices. Many that have been there behind the scene for a long time, just now given a new title. How can we expect to see much (if any) change when these same people are behind him? Makes me wonder and I'm loosing hope of any good changes. I think it will just be more of the same.
We will ALWAYS lose.

So much for "draining the swamp" right! He did do one thing right, when he fired Flynn Jr. for spreading fake news (pizzagate).

A lot of what he's doing, by parading possible picks, twitter, thank you tour, meeting with Gore,Obama,Romney and such are just diversionary tactics to take the media attention away from his actual picks.

We'll see how he conducts himself when the actual realities of being president fall upon him. It's a heavy load!

Good point. It is hard to know what Trump really believes because he has said a lot of contradictory stuff. He keeps breaking with protocol and it isn't yet clear what is intentional (ie he genuinely wants to do things differently), or what is genuine ignorance about how to do things (he's not a career politician). Tommy's point above about Nigel Farage is a good example - the US President does not get to choose the diplomats representing other countries. That send the Brit government into a frenzy. We won't really know until we can judge Trump by his actions in office.

That said, anyone who runs a large business, such as his, will do a lot of delegation. That's not necessarily a bad thing - same for a president, they can't micromanage everything. But I think Trump will delegate more than most. Pence could be a very powerful VP. I'm not sure that is entirely good because Trump really was the big name people voted for.
