In Mourning Uncle Passed Away - Furyan66 - 05-01-2017
Well crappy way to start new week, Got call around 1am that a very close uncle of mine has passed away with whom I just visited and stayed with over this past Easter Weekend. At least we were all given one more chance as a family to be together before God called his name last night. For that one last time I am blessed but the emptiness that fills me now, well it just hurts and I know I don't have to explain to most of you what loosing a close loved one will do to you.
Ours is a strange story. He was actually a best friend of mine for 15 or so years before he married my aunt and became my uncle so out of all our family I knew him the longest. He was the captain of my first Paintball Team yea that's right Paintball team and we probably had more fun that 2 people should be allowed to have going to pro tournaments. Stories that could never be told to the family. Friends Stories. He then gets married to my aunt and becomes my uncle and so many good family times after that. I was so lucky to have been blessed to have had him as a friend and uncle. Few people are that lucky.

Fury: I thank God u had a glorious time with him at Easter. When u r ready, think on the good years when he was ur best friend. And, then when he changed hats to Uncle.

My condolences for your loss. I was also hit by a similarly by a loss my family and had to watch the pain first hand. I am very stoic. I seem to not be affected by the emotional aspects of losing a loved one. But deep inside I am crying. So deep that nobody can hear me. It manifest into unresolved issues that affect me later in life I've come to find out. So I am now working on coping mechanisms to challenge myself into expressing more feelings towards losses of close friends and family. Thank you for sharing your story and may you find a sense of peace and light where it seems so dark. Many blessings to yours from mine.
