Strattera vs more common ADHD alternatives - cfand8 - 09-14-2017 Has anybody used Strattera? Was curious how it compared to addy, ritalin, vyvanse, etc.? Thanks in advance for any insight! RE: Strattera vs more common ADHD alternatives - MoonChild - 09-14-2017 I dont ever take ADHD meds anymore but as a youth/young adult I did. Perhaps thats why i have anxuety issues now. Anyway Strattera made me feel like a space cadet. Hated it. RE: Strattera vs more common ADHD alternatives - Selassie311 - 09-14-2017 What is the mechanism of straterra? Is it considered a stim? Conversely I had a doc refer to moda as a stim in league with addie and rita RE: Strattera vs more common ADHD alternatives - fauxcus - 09-18-2017 (09-14-2017, 07:52 PM)Selassie311 Wrote: What is the mechanism of straterra? I have the most success with Adderall. RE: Strattera vs more common ADHD alternatives - hqinmaine - 09-26-2017 I have just been prescribed straterra, but medicare so far has been resistant to filling it so my response is limited to what I have read about it. It is non-stimulant, but is reported to have an energizing and focusing effect. It is an antidepressant, a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (what?) it takes some days to take effect. It is not what I wanted, nor is it a first line med for ADD. Stay posted, In will advise once I actually HAVE these meds. It's kind of been a fight, which is weird since it is not a controlled substance. I do have alternatives, right here, if it does not work for me. |
