Help keep me on track - Chemsoul - 07-23-2018 Pharma-fam, I am trying to keep up with my posts to reach 50. I've read the rules and plan to adhere to them faithfully. I'm wondering if I could get some suggestions as to what and where on the site would be most appropriate for a newbie to post? I'm thinking of reading thru threads and offering advice or opinions where I might be helpful. Can anyone suggest other forums or topics that might be appropriate for me to be making posts in? Thanks all. RE: Help keep me on track - Linville - 07-23-2018 We have several social threads that might help you out RE: Help keep me on track - I-carus8045 - 07-23-2018 Just do what feels right for you . If you read something that strikes catches your brain, and it makes you think about your own opinions or experiences, in real life wouldn't that be the moment when you contribute to a social interaction?. Treat it like that maybe . Just make sure you stick within the rules and eventually you will get used to the whole idea of it.When i first started posting and chatting online in places like this (not specifically here, the internet has been around since before I was a teen), I would save a draft and make sure it came within what I felt comfortable posting. Maybe save a draft of a post or thread you want to write, double check the rules or what you are contributing to, then post away .Im not telling you how to do things, its just some tips or pointers or advice etc etc . Enjoy!!
RE: Help keep me on track - Chemsoul - 07-23-2018 Thanks I-carus. Those are great suggestions. I am happy to put the effort and time in, I'm trying to get some reference points and any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you. RE: Help keep me on track - Charon - 07-23-2018 http://ioplist.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=6 but, it would seem our music thread and a few others require fifty posts. u can make five a day till ur first fifty. then about ten a day. goals are at play here. but, i know another forum uses reputation points. we do not per se. we have a staff and top member conference room. we make decisions based on my staff here. u can achieve access to the fifty post area without one person liking ur posts. technically. but as we are deliberately small, and want to stay as family, the people of senior status and above all contribute to many a decision made on here. the real dirt: if i were you, i would worry about the opinion of that witch charon, that tough gentleman Ice Wizard and our brilliant admin of steel. They have the power to ban. You will note that as i do this as ministry before God and man, u will get many a chance. Don't fret. Just talk. The way u would in an aunt's parlour. With her church group around. knitting. oh, i kid. soon u can put up music. but, for now, so we don't allow people we don't know into the secured areas, u gotta post in the areas u can currently see. attitude, politeness, truth, kindness: here, these all count to make us want to keep u as a family member. just be you. u may get edited a bit but u won't be banished for being you. just dont fight. i got a houseful of chronicall ill and chronically anxious in here. many waiitng on meds. so don't start flame wars. but it will be a piece of cake for u i am sure. just be u. the parts that r allowed to be safely shared in open forum. u get more freedom to speak after fifty posts. whew. You have ONE HUNDRED DAYS to reach 50 posts so don't stress my friend. Heck I'm a dumby and started posting a month after registering and looks like I'll be able to meet the 50 mark easily, within the guidlines. There's plenty of time to read up, gather some knowlege, learn the LINGO and if you have a comment just post a reply. Don't feel pressured, but be sure to read the rules though and understand them. They may seem a bit strict but you'll learn they're set up for the betterment for the good folks who reside here. Best wishes and may you find relief for what ailes you! RE: Help keep me on track - Chemsoul - 08-02-2018 PHARMA-FAM! I want to post about a vendor but I want to make sure it is done in the right area. Can someone help a newbie out and either tell me or send a link to the proper location to vent my review? Sorry to be a pain in the rear. Thanks all... |
