Your local temperatures and weather - Charon - 04-12-2023 it is 78 degrees in NY suburbs. and a fire advisory. and its just beginning. If anyone of u also have lupus, be really careful. U can pass out in the sun but nonetheless u pay for it the next day with exhaustion. i have no idea if there is a legit med for it. don't trust drs too much anymore. so, how is it in your neck of the woods? RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Mr. HIND - 04-12-2023 Past several days have been nice here about 75 degrees but today is cloudy and getting colder. I found some pollywogs/Tadpoles in a shrinking puddle today. Debating on whether to hike back there and rescue them. Need a small net to catch em I think. Hmmm. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Charon - 04-12-2023 my sister and i hid out at the brook. and we would catch tadpoles and pollywogs. move them to the safer side of the brook. aye, tis a good good reason for the hike mr. hind. I am sure they would be eternally grateful. as would i. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Mr. HIND - 04-12-2023 They're fairly high up on the mountain where it's quite dry so I believe they're toads. I'll get em outta there so hopefully they'll have a fighting chance. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Charon - 04-12-2023 Just please be careful. High on a mountain is a bit of a concern. But u know what u r doing i am sure. Good luck. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Mr. HIND - 04-12-2023 I was able to catch some before the water turned cloudy and could no longer see... They're quick and I was using an old Asian fryer strainer. Maybe operator error with the strainer.. Next few days will be cool n cloudy so I'll relocate rest tomorrow. I did dump my water in there as well, half gallon NON Chlorinated The pollywogs will like their new home but it's a rough ride coming down the mountain in a ziplock bag. I'm careful. Been up there many times. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Charon - 04-13-2023 How awesome u really rescued poor wee animals in trouble. I sincerely doubt many people would do as u did. You are my hero for that. U really did that? Wow. U, are somewhat of a lunatic as am I. And that is glorious to see. They are thanking you tonite. So am I. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - IceWizard - 04-13-2023 We should be up to 76 today and int the mid 80's the rest of the week ... Ice RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Charon - 04-13-2023 we shall hit eighty something by noon. so they say. I am glad this summer house stays cool so far. RE: Your local temperatures and weather - Mr. HIND - 04-14-2023 High of 50 here today with drizzle and COLD wind.. Followup on the tadpole story, the rest were rescued... There was an Japanese man there by the time I arrived and he was using cups to catch them. I handed him my authentic hand made strainer with Bamboo handle and he LOL'd then took a picture of it before scooping out the last tadpoles ![]() Long day.. Take care |
