He asked me for paypal info, so I sent him receiver's invoice through paypal. I'm pretty upset with myself for trusting some randoms. But I did do a google search and he used to do good business at one point, but now he's a drug addicted cluck that scams people. I'll just chalk this as a charitable donation with my taxes, I still have the Moneygram receipt.

I posted a "Hello" thread in the welcome forum and got a nice PM welcoming me to the forum from blackpat, and a "good" email source.  Guess I'll skip the delivery meet up I was about to set up for today for his "source".  Yikes!!

I've never been scammed but he sounded like a legit member.  That was a seriously close one, thanks for the info!

Acmilan, you saved me . . . . thank you so much.   I hope I can repay the favor some day.  I am very sorry though that you went through that, lesson learned I guess.  I almost did th same exact thing but thought, let me just check the forum first to be safe.  What got me was in his email, it said he was a staff member at IOPlist.ORG, so I thought it was legit.  No bueno . . . . gotta be more careful I guess.
