Here I am now, I justified in my head that as long as I'm not using opiates I won't get addicted - (someone gave me free G..H...B and !ce) which I'm not addicted, however using the two on and off through the last 3 weeks really took a toll on me and feel like im on the verge of a seizure. Already had a few tremors. I tried to taper with Diaz. But as I'm running out I refilled my script for lyrica and clonidine. I know that you can get internal bleeding from that stuff, but when I take more the shaking and overall not feeling well at all goes away, so that's where I unknowingly got dependent.
My questions are; is lyrica good as an anticonvulsant and is it safe to take with clonidine as my heart is already wonky and confused from basically sp33dballing. Or could I may be suffering from internal bleeding from smoking the crap?
And has anyone been through this before? Could really hear some success stories right about now because I am terrified and I have this "letter of addiction " paper that says "next time I come into your life, if you don't treat me seriously you will suffer for a long time, or die if you're lucky" and i can resonate with that because this is painful.
I did go to the ER but I didn't want to bring covid back to my sick dad and didn't wait for the actual doctor to evaluate me because I was waiting hours and haven't spoken to him at all and the hospital wasn't even busy but, but they did check my heart and they said it looks fine.
I don't know. Lots of up in the air questions and I should see a specialist but for now I don't want to explore Google with all these common side effects of heart disease, internal bleeding, maybe just withdrawals? Etc.

Back from 60 days of rehab!

Hey everyone, missed this family we have here. I've been away for a little while so I thought I'd update. I got off m3th@don3 and b3nz0s in rehab, I'm still experiencing methadone withdrawal, its been 9 days since my last drink. But all I have to say is no matter how bad my head spins were and how fatigue I was/am, it feels so nice to be free. Im still dealing with ongoing pain issues so I hope to find a holistic pain clinic, if anyone's had success with those let me know thanks guys, its good to be back.

Tramadol hell

I have been on Tramadol up and down for more than 8 years because I started having headaches due to Mononucleosis... Back in 2011. Of course I do not still have it but that is where it started. My daily dose over the years has fluctuated from taking.
600mg twice a day to taking to 700mg once a day.

I have never had a seizure and without this medicine cold turkey. My stomach goes to hell, I can't sleep for long due to electric surges rippling through my body and my body is sweating along with aches and pains.

I know cold turkey wouldn't work and I have reduced myself down to 800mg a day. I want to get off it completely.

Going to a detox/rehab for my first time, nervous.

Hey everyone, im currently waiting to be put into a rehab facility that costs 18k, but the place happens to be owned by a family friend so my dads doing his house in exchange for my stay. I don't know much about it, im detoxing off b3nz0 (20mg daily), m3thadon3 60 mg, and clonidine .2 mg. Does anyone know if in detox there are registered nurses to keep withdrawals at ease? And how long do they usually keep you in detox? Also concerned about sharing a room with other withdrawing peoples farts and stuff. Lol. Im excited for the post detox as I imagine there are classes to take and places outside to go.

But yeah, any feedback on peoples rehab journeys would be appreciated.

Has any found a kr@tom product that has worked for them and is actually tolerable? I’ve tried a powder before and it did help, but I couldn’t tolerate the taste whatsoever!

As I am reluctant to do a methadone dose increase my counselor suggested, she recommended something called vitadone, she says that it Could help my current dose last longer. My current dose has been wearing off around 7/8 pm, long before it should. Has anyone ever tried this before? I’ve been reading reviews claiming it does help with sugar cravings and sweats, but haven’t read that it prolongs your dose.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a recent experience hoping it may help someone going thru benzo withdrawal. I actually ran out early which is the reason for abruptly stopping the clonazepam so I called my General Practitioner who is also board certified in addiction medicine, explained to him what I just stopped taking, expressed concern about possible seizures and gosh my heart rate was through the roof, It was scaring me. He said alright, im going to call you in some diazepam 2mg X 7 tablets, take it exactly like i write it and it should get you through it. What he wrote was 1/2 tablet twice daily every 12 hours, Q12 using 4 tablets. The second step was to use the remaining 3 , but break it into 4 pieces
start with a quarter .5mg and titrate up another quarter only if needed to slow down heart rate, that awful panic feeling and just overall discomfort. That was the perfect drug, perfect strength and regiment which resulted in an incredibly smooth descent back to feeling pretty much like it never happened. It was an amazing regiment. if anyone is struggling with I would highly recommend giving that one consideration, or at least put it in your toolbox!!

For those struggling, I wish you the best and encourage this approach.

Hi all,

Sorry for not saying anything, but at 11 februari i got a call in the morning to get admitted to the rehab / psychiatric hospital.
I am home now after 31 days in the psychiatric hospital.
First week was sh*t, they put me on valium, every day we had therapy / group session's.
Second week i started on my own to tapper down to 0 benzo's, i wanted to leave the hospital without any benzo in my system.
I did great, only thing, i was kinda silent at the group session's. But it was no problem.
also i had a awesome roommate, watching movie's on netflix when we had no therapy.
So yeah, sorry for not saying anything, i had to leave in a hurry.
Now i only take a AD called sertraline, it has a anti-anxiety thing in it, but not addictive.

So i am doing great now, ofcourse we have to see what the future brings.
Glad to be back here and at home.
Hope you guys / girls are doing OK with the corona virus, Belgium is in lockdown atm.

To quit smoke. How?

I smoked all my life - for decades. Three years ago I just felt the need to quit, - and I did it! I quit extremely lightly: no suffering, no withdrawal symptoms. Just smoked, - and stopped. I did not expect this to be so easy. I was disgusted with the smell of tobacco smoke, and I considered smokers with a slight contempt and some superiority: I could to do it and now I am free, while they remained slaves of dependence. And then three years passed, and again I need cigarettes. My body just has a great need for nicotine. And I understand that I won’t be able to quit now just easy for the second time, — it will require a very difficult fight with myself. I want to quit smoking - and I can’t. Perhaps some of you have come across such a situation, and can give useful advice. It's amazing how easy I quit three years ago, - and how hard it is for me to do it now. I would be grateful for any advice, your own experience in fighting with it, and for explaining why this is even could be possible.

Need advice on tramadol taper, to help a dear friend

I have a dear friend whom I think the world of, that has lost her dad, husband, and a son all within a five year span, she got a phone call from her doc saying they were going to have to take her off either her clonazepam or tramadol for her Restless leg Syndrome. They wont allow her to be on both, and the stinky part is she didnt change, didnt do anything wrong, never once abused either of the 2 over the course of about 5 years. The only thing that changed was the world around her and others abusing it, yet she is being punished by being taken off her tramadol which she needs. Can anyone give me some pointers so I can kinda help her. They are tapering her fast, and she is already feeling the discomfort. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

We have finally reached a point where we have plenty of options in terms of buprenophine treatment.
Buprenorphine tabs, films, at various strengths and with or without naloxone. We have different generics of those, and new medications with buprenorphine recently approved. Once monthly depot shots, and other companies using buprenorphine as a dependence medication as well as pain management option. Which do you prefer? Please describe in details strength, brand or generic, and if possible company who makes the one that helps you the most.

Just curious what everyones favorite generic form of subutex is these days. We now have lots to choose from and I always like reading feedback from others and their preference of generic. I can say without a doubt my favorite is the newer Rhodes pharma generic, they are a good size and very consistent in terms of quality. After that I would have to say mylan and westward/roxanne and the the Hi-Tech.

Buprenorphine patients...Anyone tried the Depot Injection by your doctor yet?

Hello all just following up with my fellow bup buddies who have been blessed by having this drug introduced to their lives, Suboxone or Subutex. Its a very unique partial agonist/antagonist opioid which has given alot of people their life back. Just curious if anyone has tried, asked or been offered by their doctor the Sublocade Depot Shot you take once monthly. If you have please share your experiences.
If not would you consider it?
